Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.
If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

To be honest I was shocked at the beginning of the video because I'm an Indian and I never knew that Nagaland people ate all these things. Then I remembered/realized that food customs differ vastly from place to place and food sources & culture is directly proportionate to what is readily available in that region. If this is what their ancestors ate and these people have no problem in following that tradition, who am I to judge? Thanks to the team for educating me about a part of my own country and people. Peace.

I've watched your videos over the years, but this is the first time I'm writing to thank you for all the culinary adventures you've shared. This one on Viet Nam really took the cake for me with the insects. I've always been curious about insects as a food source, but your descriptions were very interesting. I appreciate your sacrifice by taking the plunge each time you eat something truly exotic. As much as I'm curious about the foods you've tried, I'm often turned off by the mere appearance of the food, especially when it comes to tarantulas or fat worms. Anyways, thank you for your video series. I look forward to wataching many more. Wishing you all the best.

Many animals became extinct because of ignorant superstitions. If your generation is straying away from these beliefs, it only means the level of education has been improving. I came from a village as well and today only the uneducated folks still believe in superstitions with regards to medication (especially if involving eating wild animals). Likewise, animals are important part of the ecosystem, they help maintain the balance.

Being Naga, our family members only eat Pork, beef, chicken, crab, fish and snails no exotic food nor any worm or bug. Nor dog or cat. Not everyone eats exotic food here in Nagaland 🙂

Of all the exotic places you could've visited, You & Your team exploring our beautiful state of Nagaland which is at the far end of Northeast India makes us feel recognised and special. Although, it's so unfortunate that the Mao Market where you filmed this video was completely burnt down just few weeks back. Thanks to you & your team for showcasing our beautiful state of Nagaland globally through your channel. Peace ✌

just to let the outsiders know, not everyone/every household consumes these cuisines. Reading the comments I can see that people from the other parts of india is already grossed out. This misconception leads to bullying and discrimination of so many northeastern people staying outside the ne 😮‍💨 Me being a naga myself, I gagged watching this video 😭 and I'll never ever have the guts to even touch those meat 😖

Nope! Tbh the angamis simply boil meat into oblivion and are not particular about the herbs, and spices that many other nagas use in preparation for bush meat. I don't mean to denigrate the angamis but compared to other tribes they're yet to reach a level of finesse in cooking. They make mean drink esp with Mudi but tbh their cooking isn't so great. But it's not possible for him to cover each and every corner of naga cookery
