I am on this platform as I live in the west and I don't have much choice and we here in the west are a bunch of hypocrites when it comes to the free press. India is one place where there used to be good discussions and debates onTV but sadly it is becoming like the silly partisan stuff shown daily on the mainstream media in US/UK. India is the place that overthrew colonialism and gained its freedom so lets hold that freedom dear for everyone. India can show the way but it needs a free press. It would be a shame if India losses its characteristic Independent thinking.

Hats off to Srinivasan Jain and Ravish Kumar. I grew up watching Pronnoy Roy's 'The World this Week' on Doordarshan and then these stalwarts in my adult years. They've been one of the excellent journalists who have remained unbiased while others like Rajat Sharma have become a figment of their own imagination.

Srinivasan jain might have great skills. But what I admire most is his restraint from punching vempati's face for his answers. And that poker face that he managed to keep.

Congratulations Srinivasan..!! He'll be an asset to Aljazeera

I have mad respect for honest people like Srinivas and Ravish who could have easily made thousands of crores if they fell into the Godi media bandwagon, however they stood their ground, they quit their beloved NTDV when it was cunningly bought over by the BJP. I feel so proud of you both, i grew up watching you both do your phenomenal journalism. A time will soon come like Krishna said in bhagwat Geetha when the truth triumphs over lies. After Modi came to power, Indian Media's greatest achievement was informing the public that banging utensils was a sure fire method to stave off the corona virus 😆😆😆😆😆

Republic TV and Times Now channels were the main reasons that made me to disconnect all the news channels from my TataSky TV pack in 2015. I watched NDTV till 2023. Now my only source of news is the independent channels in KZread.
