'India does not have an option to relocate' says FM Sitharaman in Washington DC
Stressing on India's geographical location in context of India-US relations, FM Sitharaman in Washington DC said with "Every bettering of relationship with US each year, there is a recognition that there is a friend there, but the friend's geographical location is to be understood. And a friend cannot be weakened." She added, "It's not like India has a choice to relocate."

for the people who didn't get it, Honorable Finance minister is pointing out that USA left Indian state security compromised by pulling out of Afghanistan. It created a void in Afghanistan giving Pakistan an advantage with respect to Afghanistan. Although I strongly believe the Afghan terror will impact Pak more than India but Minister points out that USA cannot leave a friend weakened given the neighborhood we have in south Asia where Pak is being used by china to constraint India. India was doing same encirclement of Pak given the Afghan Governments which formed from 2002-2021 always hated Pak and wanted good relations with India. Now Ukraine is important from west stand point- true but Afghanistan was imp from Indian point of view. The withdrawal took India out of the picture which the whole Indian security apparatus vehemently hates

Trump asked Modi if he would like to take some form of ownership in Afghnistan given that India has been working under the protection of US forces in Afghanistan. But Modi said No. So if India is incapable of owning it up despite having 20 years time (US occupation), what is the point asking US to hang on to Afghanistan till eternity ?

United States should provide India Oil @ rate of US 60 - 70 dollars per barrel. Indian economy is under severe strain due to high WPI of 14.5% induced due to 110 USD oil.

We should sign treaty with developed nation as we have advantage of low labour there. Free trade with china and SE nation is like selling mango to another mango seller.Very tough. Our idea is to source western companies in India using anything as leverage.

Its better to go for Europe UK Australia Gulf free trade deals than joining RCEP. India will become a consumption market of RCEP for lack of competitive manufacturing industrialisation.
