Very well explained. I am one of those who almost cried when the USSR disintegrated and gave path to the US to be the only super power and exploit the world. I used to be regular participant of Indo USSR cultural centre in New Delhi in mid 1980s. I recognize that it is crucial for India and the world to have the US on board yet, I don't trust its administration to a great extent because of its history to be a selfish about its interests only and doesn't have any real intent to work for mutual or collective interests and progress. Long Live Indo Russia friendship beyond the limits.

I know russian history from stepan razin, to kutuzov, suvorov, peter the great, ivan grozny, zoya kosmodemianskaya, prince pyotr bagratyon, zhukov, even sargeant yegorov and soldier kantaria who hoisted (debatable controversial photo) red flag on reichstag in berlin... far better than indian history.

During the 1971 India-Pak war, the US along with UK, France and other allies were supporting Pakistan and even supplied weapons and funds to the Pak. The US sent its navy fleet to attack India from the Eastern side ie Bay of Bengal while the UK was coming from the western side ie Arabian Sea. It was a coordinated attack to push India into a 3 front war. The US had its presence in the Indian Ocean at that time due to East Pakistan which now is Bangladesh.
