Sumi Baptist Church, Zunheboto is a church located in Zunheboto, Nagaland, INDIA. affiliated with the Council of Baptist Churches in Northeast India. The church is considered to be one of the largest church buildings in Asia.
The church is founded in 1942.The church building construction began on May 5, 2007 and more than 2000 workers were issued inner line permits to participate in the construction works. It took 10 years to build and was built at a reported cost of 36 crores. The church was dedicated by Rev. Dr. Solomon Rongpi, General Secretary of the Council of Baptist Churches in Northeast India on April 22, 2017
The church measures 23,73,476 Sq.ft in plinth area and has a blue dome and white turrets. The church is 203 feet in length, 153 feet in breadth and 166 feet in height. The church can seat 8500 people and also has 27 rooms for different purposes. The bell of the church was imported from Poland and costs Rupees 15 lakh. The 500 kg bell is made of 93% brass and 7% tin and has a 1.5 km radial sound outreach.

As a Naga, Iam so proud of this achievement. Let us look at this church as a symbol of our faith in Christ Jesus and glorify his name and not defame it with our negative opinion. As we take in the sight of this majestic church, let it be a reminder for us christians that our body is the true temple of God and that our faith in God should grow even bigger and greater. Amen

Not being rational but to build the largest church in Asian in the land of headhunters is indeed a blessing is disguise. Who would have thought this would happen. "I can do all things through christ" Is the message we must all acknowledged in this marvellous structure. This should stand as a sign of hope, faith, love n Christianity in the hard days as well as the good days.

Always wanted to know how the birds eye view of the church would be so thank you amu Vito for this it surely looks majestic. Zunheboto is where the heart lies and no matter where you go the roots stays with it.

As far as I know... the church should not charge you except for your free will offering towards the church. You should get in touch with the authorities of the church.
