Hoocho you could use Chloramine and it won’t dissipate or bubble off like Chlorine. You could use a bit if CYA with the Chlorine and get the same results. But yea it’s not heresy to use Chlorine. It’s actually great to keep bacteria from forming and a micro nutrient essential for plant health..

The wind from the air movement will pollinate.. I actually self pollinate. I use a water color paint brush to tickle the flowers . Used to use a soft tip tooth brush.

I've seen "tan" colored oasis cubes for sale on AMZN but how much better are these "black" oasis cubes?

What do you mean " using Oasis*? And what kind of fertilizer did you say is not available in Australia? Did you say flairform?

Hey Rob! Awesome setup! Very inspiring as always. Quick question, how do you connect the 4mm tubing to the pvc pipes? And is it advisable to use the smaller pumps (2000+ l/h) for smaller home users in the same fashion with pvc pipes to 4mm hoses?

Mate these are great for seedlings and clones . The thing covers an entire 2x4 for seedlings and clones . 60 watts vrs 216 for 4 four foot 54 watt T5s to cover the same 2x4. It’s pretty easy to understand the value .

@@timpage5021 90% of the shitty "grow lights" that you can buy from walmart for 20$ would do JUST as well. so they arent "great" they are merely average which also means they are overpriced. most people who watch hoocho know he would shill dick shrinking pills as "the next great thing" for a buck. i mean he did a video calling "let pot" "the perfect table top hydroponic system" despite it being useless for anything taller than lettuce. also.. you just look like an ass comparing apples to dildos. why would anyone pay for t5s at this point?

156 watts different in power draw. At 10 hours a day that's 1.56kwh a day saves. Average price per kwh in USA is around 16c. Let's round up and call it 25 cents a day saves in power. Nearly $100 a year in power saves. Now let's talk about the cost of replacing 4 t5 bulbs a few times while the LED is still going. Let's also talk about the ability to only turn on red light (which uses less power than blue light) if you need to. The 60 watts is max power, there is the option to use less depending on what youre growing and what stage they are in. He also mentioned that he was getting bigger plants sooner with this light, possibly because he is controlling the type of light and giving them exactly what they need instead of a full spectrum approach. Seems like a solid investment to me. The thing will more than pay for itself vs the cheaper options. You'll always make less money when you always choose to sacrifice long term profits for a little savings today.

@@jasondean88888 yea or you can buy whatever trash walmart is selling for 20$ or less and be JUST as effective at starting seedlings. your assumptions dont reflect reality (red light for seedlings?? if anything blue but even then..), they are seedlings. there really isnt much to it. 24/kwh in ny state by the way, on average.
