Rob here...Sarno's book is great and a total lifesaver for me. Be aware though as a doctor he had to be cautious and he is a bit coy about autoimmune diseases. I had to read between the lines. The Mind Solution contains several autoimmune success stories and all the relevant scientific evidence I could find.

Such an important message TO APPLY THE TEACHINGS. It’s easy to read or hear something and feel encouraged and motivated, but it’s a different story to apply what you’ve heard consistently. Especially when things get tough.

Thank you, that was a great interview! I recognize the experience of trying different things diet-wise, also trying different supplements, and finding temporary improvement but then seeing things go back to the way they were after a short while. It makes a lot of sense from this perspective, that really the symptoms are just distractions and so something will always come up until you get to the deeper cause.

Rob here....thanks for the comment. Btw I had undiagnosed chronic fatigue as well. It was extremely bad. Still get tired every now and again but it is within 'normal' limits and certainly not a syndrome anymore. There were so many symptoms, I struggle to mention them all.

According to what Rob said, he was never diagnosed with autoimmune diseases - neither of the illnesses he mentioned can be diagnosed by symptoms alone and he said he didn't undergo the testing and admitted the diagnoses were "provisional" and his symptoms might've been psychosomatic. I hate to be the negative one in the comments, but for him to claim Sarno's techniques can cure autoimmune diseases could seriously harm others who have those disorders and, because of this interview, think they can forgo medical treatment and instead heal by facing repressed emotions. It seems like most of the people who have commented believe he actually received autoimmune diagnoses and healed those illnesses through his mind.
