Lyrics:
I hear you on the radio
You permeate my screen, its' unkind but
If I met you in a scissor fight
I'd cut off both your wings on principle alone
On principle alone
Hey megalomaniac
You're no Jesus
Yeah, you're no fucking Elvis
Wash your hands clean of yourself baby
Maniac, step down, step down
If I were your appendages
I'd hold open your eyes
So you would see
That all of us are heaven sent
There was never meant to be only one
To be only one

In retrospect all it's ironic that all the anti-war sentiment that popped up around 04 on was like "we're there for oil". Saddam was really like the closest thing to Hitler we had. Look up the mass graves in Iraq on Wikipedia if you have any doubt. Oil? Hidden WMDs? God forbid we did some actual good there. Shout out to the Arab Spring.

It was already relevant. 9/11, the Iraq War, global warming already underway, and the 2008 financial crisis was being set up. That Billy Joel song “We Didn’t Start the Fire” is cheesy but true. For me, it was Job For a Cowboy. Their songs Embedded and Altered from Catechization were some of my favorites growing up. Let me tell you, these songs were so brilliantly orchestrated and lyrically perfect I never wanted to look up the lyrics (knowing the lyrics takes some of the magic out of a song). When I learned last year what these songs were talking about, I was completely flabbergasted. I was also set to be baptized in a few weeks as well. On JFAC's wiki page, it said the band members "felt strongly compelled to write this album (Genesis)" and they disbanded shortly after its completion.

This song was an awakening, even though I still went on to "serve" my government, I'd still acknowledge it as a part of why I feel the way I do, now, even if it took 9 years or so.
Incubus is the voice of reason, they aren't blind, neither was Rush, Pink Floyd nor any GREAT band that DOES NOT IGNORE THEIR OWN WORLD and seek to educate and inform. . No shit Sherlock my auto correct won again. Why do people have to feel the need to correct things that are obviously a mistake? Does it make you feel better about yourself? I really don't get know it alls do you have nothing better to do then try to be little people? You must be very self conscious as I learned in psychology those that pretend to be better then others are really not but they try to make themselves feel that way. I hope your obvious correction of one word made you feel better about your miserable existence... get a life and let me enjoy this lovely non judgemental band. And stop being so annoying maybe then you'll find perfection is one who lives a carefree easy going life not wasting time trying to correct things. Geez!
