And one thing I always get surprised is that almost never it comes from Locomotion ok that it was a paid channel, I don't want to remember not even half of the disturbing things I watched on that channel but if anyone likes the macabre and disturbing is a gold mine like many of its commercials there were just incredible creepy, even that most are just edgy humor like "haha piss in the homeless", but some of a dude stalking and later stabbing his neighbor for no reason or the one that the father don't want his new kid and throws the baby down the stairs but he survives but becomes wheelchair user and just ends with the kid looking sad

That "Blood Girl" animation was also shown in the Philippines at about the same year. I remember watching it in a random channel while I was eating breakfast. I am fairly certain that it was one of those Saturday cartoons since I was elementary at that time and weekends are the only time I would watch cartoons that early since I don't have class. I can vaguely remember the girl being visibly sad every time she turned water into blood. The animation wasn't creepy but has some weird vibes so I stopped watching. Maybe someone can find a lead into Philippine channels during this time.

when hearing about the orange muck cartoon, my first thought is a scene from the movie Raggedy Ann and Andy: A Musical Adventure. There's a scene where the main characters of the film encounter a monster called The Greedy who is made up of an orange gooey substance, and characters are tossed around on it's vast, mucky body. This scene is also notable for scaring quite a lot of children who saw it.

The description of the Lord and Taylor cartoon reminds me of the Raggedy Ann and Andy movie. Rough animation, pit of orange goop (the Greedy - a monster made of melted taffy), and as a kid's film from the 70s, it probably would have been cheaper to market through those stores rather than something more recent (and more expensive). The only off detail is the Napoleon character. There's a goofy knight, a goofy king, and a goofy / creepy pirate - so OP could be remembering any of those characters... but none of them appear right before the Greedy scene. =/ Otherwise, it sounds like a strong contender for this mysterious cartoon. I wonder if it's been ruled out yet? EDIT: checked the forums, apparently it has been ruled out. Darn it...

There is a bigger Brazilian puzzle. The Chapolin Polka's Mystery. It's a partially lost and unidentified song. Only 30 seconds of it are known. The catch is that those 30 seconds were broadcast nationwide for more than 100 million people on a daily-basis for more than 30 years yet nobody claimed ownership or was able to identify the author.

Looks like it! It's on youtube, but I can't post the link here. My comment was removed. Regardless, I've downloaded it For people who doesn't know, It's from the Anabel cartoon, made in 2005. It's about a 7 year old "gaúcha" girl in the 30s (a term for people from Brazil's south and other countries like Argentina and Uruguay, derived from the horsemen; akin to cowboys) It seems like it was from a Halloween episode and, based on the comments, it didn't air often on TV. Probably because of the blood. In the episode, she was hungry and overeats before sleeping, then when she wakes up to find her parents and everyone else in the city gone. After the blood scene and whatnot, it ends up being an nightmare. The 'teacher' from the post turned out to be her mom, and the twist at the end was a rather boring "Was it all a dream" trope. Other than that, it matches perfectly It's not an unknown show locally, I remember watching it as a kid. It aired on Nickelodeon Brazil and other local channels, and it looks like it was also shown on America (there is dub actors only on the portuguese wikipedia page, with Kari Wahlgren and Tara Strong?). So it also corroborates with other comments that thought they saw it on Philippines, since it aired internationally

i remember as a kid, my dad rented me a movie from a small hometown movie store, it was VHS i believe but could have been DVD. All i remember about the case is it had super animated cartoon characters, almost Looney Toon looking expressions, but the character on the cover had some sort of Mind Control Watch in his hands dangling from a chain, like something as a kid you'd think would hypnotize someone. And his eyes were big wide open with a red and white swirl pattern I believe, like he was hypnotized himself or just hypnotizing people with his eyes. The background was dark forests, I do also think the characters could have been based off of animals, but not 100% sure. Anyways it looked innocent enough for my dad to buy it for 6-7 year old me, until we got home and loaded it up and hit play... I don't remember the intro well (unless this was the intro) but I just remember that animal from the cover, ripping up and cutting up other Characters in the show (possibly with a chainsaw?) with an extreme amount of blood and internal organs pouring out.. It was quite a traumatizing site, I just remember feeling almost ill then looking away from the screen until my dad Turned it off in anger.. ALSO to clarify, No it isn't Happy Tree Friends. This one very well could have been released in the 90's just like Happy Tree Friends, But the scenery was to dark, It feels even older and not as well animated as Happy Tree Friends (seeing their show "H.T.F" style never really changed), And the cover really had my dad and I convinced that it was just an innocent cartoon movie or show, No blood on the cover or any type of violence.. Once again, I have already looked at any Happy Tree Friends movie covers, Series covers, and even the episode that happens in Happy Tree Friends called "All in vein" which is like a Vampire thing where some of the animals are hypnotized, Which almost looked familiar at first glance, but I believe that was just because the Eyes were animated in a similar way with the Swirls, it isn't nearly as short as this episode as well. Non of the characters or scenes were similar, And the Dark scenery is similar especially at the end of that Episode, but not the exact same . I do happen to believe that it's very possible that it was a M or R-rated Cartoon just like H.T.F, and since the Cover Looked innocent enough, my Dad just didn't think of checking the Rating on it. Thought i'd say and post this here since the video reminded me of this, if anyone has any idea of what this show or movie could have been, please share! This was purchased in a Non-French Canadian Movie Store which has been closed for probably the last 10 years.

that is REALLY interesting and definetely got my attention. any chance your dad could have more info, can you still ask him about it? it makes me think this may have been part of a collection of adult cartoon shorts that had a generic "wacky" cover, and it just happened to be that the first short you've seen was that gruesome one (i know you said it was the character from the cover enacting the carnage, but hey, people can mix up memories so i figured it was worth a shot). i know quite a bit about old adult animation (rock n rule, heavy metal, felidae, fritz the cat, watership down, etc) but none of what i have watched or read up on thus far matches your description. would definitely be interested in finding out what the hell this thing you saw was.

It most definitely sounds like an animated short that was probably made by a small Brazilian cartoon studio so perhaps look for indie cartoons that aired on tv in that part of the world, also it the short could have been a metaphor for either a girl being on her period or she has been well SAed.

I remember listening to this song on yt kids (cringe) back in like 2016 that I can’t find for the life of me. Some details regarding this video/song: In the video, there was a single picture of Tails from Sonic the Hedgehog. He was in a sitting position, with his legs pointing forward, and he had a smug (or sleepy? Can’t rember🫤) smile on his face, with a heart beside his head. The title of this video (iirc) was “Tails’ Theme TSPS”. (Only thing I found along the lines of tsps were Sonic plush videos). The song itself was a relaxing techno beat that I remember fondly to this day. The song had nothing to do with Sonic and it wasn’t a remix of a past Sonic song. If you wanna cover this topic in a future video, that would be cool I guess. If anyone else has info on this vid, plz lemme know this song was my childhood-

That tone of the the FBI warning is kinda familiar. It's not an educational tape, but has anyone checked Bruno the Kid tapes? I vaguely remember my mom renting a tape of it when I was a kid in the late 90s/early 00s. I remembered the show being kinda snarky much like the FBI warning. I think maybe it might be a good idea to expand beyond "educational" kid's tapes.

Here's a few mysteries of my own: There's a CGI video I watched in kindergarten, so, around 2008, of a Heart with a face and tennis shoes on, singing. All I remember is her saying was, "Heart power." There was another video I watched around that same time period in school which was about dental health. This was 2D animated. Pretty sure some of the main characters had gotten caught by the villain and put into a decayed tooth cage, which they used something to wear it down and escape from (either sugar, or dental hygiene product). I barely remember much of that one. The art style would be similar to something like 'The Adventures from the Book of Virtues' or 'The Magic School Bus.'

Can't believe Blood Girl has been solved. That's what reached out to me, so I'm glad it was quickly uncovered. I don't consider myself a skeptic, and I always want to believe lost media cases are genuine, but like Go for a Punch, there's always a part of me that ponders how easy something like this would be to fabricate. Sure, aspects of lost media stories like 'blood girl' give off a "you can't make this shot up" vibe. But part of me always fears that interesting lost media cases are either fiction or just a misremembrance of something. So the case in this video getting resolves definitely 'scratches the itch'. Very satisfying outcome.

Here's an obscure piece of lost media: in the yugioh scene, there since there's only one official format, some players gravitate to playing older formats: one of the most popular of these is HAT, the april-july 2014 format named after one of the top decks: Hand Artifact Traptrix. The most iconic build of the deck is the NAWCQ winning (iirc) list by the late Korey McDuffie, an MTG player who found success in yugioh during that period and who later died of heroine overdose iirc The list itself isn't great upon revisitation, but the video deck profile is very well explained and is iconic Issue is the video has been deleted for years now; his other yugioh topping deck profiles are still up, so the reasons for its deletion are unknown (by me)

There was a Ready Player One rant by Trap Lore Ross (when he went by Ross Hacks). It was titled Is Ready Player One Garbage? I remembered watching this particular video after I’d seen the movie and purchased the book from the high school library. The one line I remember was when he closed the video off by saying “VR has a long way to go.” Not long after the video was uploaded it disappeared sometime in the summer of that same year. By early January 2019 he later rebranded his channel deleting almost everything that was uploaded.

Here's something that's been bugging my memories for the past few years: I remember an old VHS that I used to watch all the time as a kid back in the 90s, but it's been so long since I've seen it that I can't remember the name of it. It was probably either a show full of puppets or CGI, and it took place in the woods. I'm pretty sure the cast was comprised of bugs that I think lived in mushroom homes. The main characters were a boy and a girl, but I can't remember what they were. Another thing I remember is that one of the major set-pieces of the show was a large log, though I can't remember how important that log was. I think there was either a butterfly or a fairy at the end of one of the episodes. I remember the show being pretty colorful, but with calm warm tones, so it wasn't an "in-your-face" type of show. While I can't remember much, I can say that it's NOT Timothy Tooth (I did have that one), NOT Bug Bites (also had that one), NOT Fraggle Rock, and NOT Miss Spider. I wish I still had my old VHS tapes, or this would've been solved years ago.

There were 8 contestants and the only confirmed footage of the show to have ever existed is the intro (which is on my channel) The show was made somewhere between January to February and the episodes were either privated or deleted in April or may. The creator has said that they won’t bring back the episodes :( so the only chances at finding it are low. There is some more info in the comments of the intro video but anyways that’s it.

Hey Shaii. I've watched your vids for a couple months and finally subbed, and since you said you be reading comments (and if you do manage to read this one) I'd like to suggest a personal piece of lost media that I can't find ANYWHERE on the internet: In the late 2000s when KZread was still new to the world, I stumbled upon various animations of Nintendo franchises, with one that I used to watch being related to Kirby, only for me to stumble upon one talking about "Kirbies". Now these weren't about the character, but about some weird rubbery life sized Bacteria with hairy particles on them called Kirbies. The animation itself was very crude and was more akin to an animatic vlog, with whoever having the voice of a bored teenage girl talking about how her school works, with one notable piece outside of the main topic being how they talked about how people at school don't drink from the fountains anymore since they found out that the pipes are connected to the nearby toilets in the restrooms. I have more information on this if you are interested to know about it, as well as a link to it on the LMK Forum if you wanna see all I wrote on it.

I hope this is a good place to talk about this, as I have an interesting case of lost media. Interesting to me, at least. My father and I have been searching for a British TV show made for children we both used to watch together when I was little (around 2010-2014). The show had two men as the hosts, one who had short black hair and usually wore a red shirt, and the other had either blonde or ginger hair which was relatively long and may have a beard. I remember several scenes from this show; one of both the men teaching the watchers that if they stare at a bright pattern then close their eyes, they’ll still be able to see the pattern (they used the Union Jack flag for that scene), the blonde/ginger man saying something about his cousin Keeth (which I made as my Just Dance name, but we haven’t had a look to see if it is still my name on there), and several scenes of claymation like an octopus looking creature swallowing itself whole. Sounds weird, but it fits with the show. My father believes this may be an extreme case of the Mandela Effect, but we can’t be sure. No one we know has any recollection of this show, just me and my father. If anyone can help us out, it would be much appreciated! Thank you!

There are many PSAs here in Brazil (especially local PSAs), very obscure and dark. I can list many in my memory. Some have it on KZread, like the PSA "excesso de velocidade" (or excess speed in english), this PSA aired on Rede Globo in the 2000s/2010s. Another PSA that I remember from memory was one about childhood blindness, which showed images of dolls and teddy bears with their eyes gouged out and sad piano music playing in the background. This last one was aired on a local television in my city (Fortaleza, in the state of Ceará) on the channel "TV Ceará"

  • @OurBenefactors
    @OurBenefactors11 ай бұрын

That last one, could it be in The Pirates of Dark Water? That show's animation fits the description they gave, it was pretty dark and scary for a kids' show, and it had plenty of barren landscapes and scenes of characters running from giant monsters. It also had a whole piratical/nautical theme to it, so there could've been a character dressed like a naval officer, which could make them resemble Napoleon. The main character wears a blue vest that has gold buttons slightly off-center; maybe a kid could think that looks like Napoleon's uniform? In Episode 17, "The Game Players of Undaar", there's a scene where two characters are running from monsters in a barren forest environment, and one of them gets stuck in mud and can't get out. That character doesn't remotely look like Napoleon, but the other character running is the main character, the one that wears the blue vest.

Not Lost Media, but more of a TOMT or TOMJ situation - I spent years trying to remember enough details to track down a pinball video game I used to play with my dad as a kid. I finally managed to find it by accident - I was watching some classic game reviews and recognized the soundtrack. The art was kind of generic fantasy so didn't really stand out to me, but the bonus stages were very unique, and the music, and sound effects confirmed it was the game I was looking for: Dragon's Revenge!

He comes out on stage and sits on the couch and Oprah asks if it’s true that he has killed every god, and he responds that there is one more god he hasn’t killed yet, and then he stabs her in the chest with a sword and she bleeds a lot. I do wonder if some of these are somewhat imagined or perceived/remembered/told very differently than what the original was. I have a bit of a "personalized super mario 64" experience from a toys r us from when I was a child, and I can even still recall the memory, but the game looked very different in the memory than it looks in the game, and I know exactly the part I was seeing as a child. Although, it might help to dig more in to foreign animation, like stuff that might've played on PBS or something. Maybe dig through some soviet animation, as there was quite a bit, that may only be discoverable by searching in their original languages and on different websites than youtube.

I feel like i saw that warning screen when i was little and laughed at it with my older brother who owned the thing. Could be from some skateboarding VHS or something related to tony hawk pro skater for ps2 or some disk that followed when you bought the game?? I dont know, its just my gut feeling right now, since i feel i´ve seen it in some VHS or dvd i had.

I think the last one is raggedy Ann and Andy a musical adventure. There’s a pirate that looks like Napoleon and they fall into an orange muck called the greedy.

Worth noting: If the last user was young enough it doesn't even have to be something traditionally scary for them not set foot in that store for five years. As a little kid I was TERRIFIED of Gossamer from loony toons and found it to be some kind of body horror.

I'm from Brazil and our Mtv (which worked from 1990 to 2013) was known for their weird sketchs with the channel logo during the commercial breaks, they were very eerie! Like, creepy, psychodelic and stuff...the former Mtv Brazil building remains closed in São Paulo and maybe, the negatives are located inside the building, unfortunately rotting...

There was a British TV show where contestants became sci-fi soldiers and had to battle "aliens" (guys in ski masks and motorbike leathers) with "lasers" (paintballs). The series got cancelled halfway through because of 9/11 (no, really).

The department store cartoon sounds similar to an episode of the G.I. Joe cartoon called "The Gamesmaster." That point of time in the 90s would have been well after the show's heyday, but not so distant that it couldnt have conceivably aired, surprising a young child who wasn't familiar with the franchise. In the episode, four of the show's major characters are kidnapped by the titular Gamesmaster who sends them fleeing through the forests of his island pursued by robots that resemble wind-up toys. At one point two of the characters get stuck in a pool of orange-colored butterscotch. The Napoleon costume is a bit of a curveball. However, some of rhe wind-up toy antagonists look like your classic wooden toy soldier clad in Napoleonic era uniforms. Then there is Cobra Commander's blue military uniform, which someone who had only seen it once as a small child might recall as looking somewhat like Napoleon's.

Regarding the Lord and Taylor cartoon incident, it seems much like that one part in the Ed Edd n Eddy episode "Nagged to Ed," where the Kanker sisters are chasing the three through the woods. They fall into quicksand after hopping over a log, and they can't get out. I should also mention that the quicksand looks kinda orange when they're covered in it. I'm aware the timeline doesn't match up, and that Ed Edd n Eddy is by no means cheaply animated. Though I find this an intriguing thought, and a similar sounding scene to me at least.

That last mystery actually has me wondering if it could be the very old Raggedy Ann cartoon movie? Raggedy Ann and Andy: The Musical Adventure. It's from the 70s but I grew up watching it on VHS in the 90s, and it had some VERY psychedelic and upsetting imagery and weird, unhinged animation, including a scene where they're in the woods running and end up falling into the Greedy, which is basically a pit of orange stuff.

That last story, "geriatric brain" when they were an actual child in 1994-96, lol... In all seriousness, it's actually quite possible that the cartoon that terrified OP at the time was not intended to be scary at all, but something about it was scary to them. (And if/when they find it, they'll watch it and think, "That was stupid AF, why did it scare me so much?)

I doubt that this is even right, so don’t come at me, but the description the person gave on the LMW, reminds me a lot of the Greedy from this old raggedy Ann movie I used to watch as a kid. Especially with them running in the night and the gnarly visuals. I’d love to find out what the cartoon actually is when it’s found! :)

I've done this before where I draw something from memory and find it years later. It's wild the changes that happen from the initial viewing, to being warped by memory, to having to translate the memory into a real image.
