The Air Car is cool, but is definitely for a small market of people. Not ‘cause of the price. If it cost $1, most people can’t have one (legally). That’s also needing to be a pilot/have an aviation license as well as a driver’s license. Most people are capable enough to be able to get a driver’s license. Though not an aviation one. So this isn’t really a flying car. It’s a transforming plane that transforms into a car. A flying car would be more like the same driving elements of driving a car on the road, but just doing that in the air. That’s probably why flying cars aren’t a thing and won’t be one until people figure out how to fly without a wing and or blades. That’s a whole different way of operating which most people can’t learn to do.

The first one looks 3D printed. It looks like filament printed. It’s not flat and smooth. Maybe anywhere, but the US this car would sell. We don’t even like 2 seater cars. We’ll at most be ok with a sports car being 2 seats. This car looks like a $20,000 car for people that still make a max minimum wage of under $10 and were making that much when cars that are the size of 4 seater VW Golf were $15,000. The answer to the overpricing of vehicles is to take 2 or 3 of the seats and most or all of the cargo space to make a $5,000 more expensive option ($20,000) than there was about 10 years ago and a lot of people live in a state in the US where the minimum wage is the same as it was 10 years ago when people could get a brand new car that came with more for a lower msrp (which people could lower that price). Now people are lucky to get to pay as low as the msrp and the msrp is way higher now. It doesn’t matter if it’s a dealership or directly sold. Both sell vehicles well above the msrp that an automotive company says it’s supposed to be sold at.

The video for the X01 skipped showing where the second lady put her purse/bag. She has 3 bags. 2 look like shopping bags that she put in the cargo space, but then she gets into the vehicle with her purse bag and then the video cuts away from her. Never showing her again and not showing where she put that bag where the driver is sitting. That’s kinda sus. Why not show what she did with that 3rd bag? It’s almost like that cut away means that she didn’t have room for that bag and they just wanted to “show” how someone can have a purse and multiple shopping bags and have room to store them. Maybe not ‘cause we didn’t get to see where the purse was stored. The video cuts that out. Maybe to try and lead people to assume that it was stored in the area of the driver’s seat since she was in motion to sit while holding the purse. Then if it’s true to not have any bag storage space in the driver’s area, then they can say that they never said that it does and that they never showed it. Nah, if I don’t see her put the bag down, then I’m not believing that there’s enough room in the driver’s area for a bag.

That first one is launching in late 2023. Ok, it’s March 2024 when this video is posted. So I’m gonna assume that this vehicle is gonna go off as well as every other one that looks like this one (shape and or the seating arrangement with the lack of or no cargo space). It’s not gonna sell well or at all. People have tried to sell this same looking vehicle as a car and in a lot of places, it can’t be classified as one unless it has the solid structure for road safety and road worthy speeds. If they don’t, then they’re only allowed on certain roadway areas. Like the same rules for driving a golf cart on the roads. If it were all types of roads ready, then it would most likely cost at least 15,000 Euros/Pounds/Dollars (depending on the country it’s trying to be sold at). They can’t even give it a classification. They say it’s not a scooter and not a car. Then what is it? It’s a scooter. Though calling that makes it uncool and lets people know that it’s a lower level commuter car. Though it’s uncool just by looking at it (the lack of space for cargo and sitting). Though costing about 6,000 is a high number for people wanting to buy a scooter. So vehicles that look like this that are classified as a scooter don’t sell that well either (at least in the US). Probably ‘cause the price is too high for people willing and or need to use a scooter. Not calling it a scooter or anything isn’t gonna change people’s mind on it after looking at it. People are better off getting a used Nissan Leaf or any other company’s equivalent (since the EU and UK have more automotive company options than North America) for the same price and be able to go further than this no classification vehicle. This one fully charges in 3 hours, but the range isn’t mentioned. Which leaves me believing that the range is way lower than a 10 year old Leaf even though it takes over 12 hours to fully charge at home from 0%-100%. So the trade off for quick charging might mean charging way more often. Plus they never stated what kind of plug does it use. Can someone be on the go and go to a charging station (even a specific type of one) or is it a plug that stations don’t use (so only for home charging)?

Why is everybody skinny/thin in these “affordable” vehicle clips and compact bikes? The weight limit on the scooters isn’t listed either. It just seems like everyone has to be slender to be able to use any of these “vehicles”. Which most of the world isn’t that small. Some of these “vehicles” and covered bikes look like the cold tip over. So there’s no mentioning of a weight limit.

If you're fat enough to not fit on/in these than you should be walking around a lot more instead. "most of the world" is indeed that "small". The priority is commuting and for human powered/electorally assisted vehicles, the weight of the vehicle itself is a concern, so they must be as light as possible. Reducing unneeded sturdiness is the best way to do that. If an obese (and up) person gains the determination to commute by bike (incredibly small minority) then an off road quad-bike is probably the best bet.

@@midgetman4206 That’s a dumb answer to say just walk. You must be one of those people that can just walk and lose weight. Which for a big number of people, diet and walking ain’t the answer. The weight thing isn’t about me, but the “affordable” vehicle thing isn’t an affordable answer when it costs that much. Plus the first one they said that it’s not a car and it’s not a scooter. Nah, it’s a scooter. There’s almost no driving places to classify it as anything more than a scooter. It just seems like that one is one that they’re trying to use wording to get people interested. Just call it a scooter and let people look at it and see if they’d want it. The answer is no no matter what it’s classified as. Though it’s too pricey for the mobility scooter people that would want one. Then one later on that has that tiny cargo space on the top. They showed one lady with 3 bags. She put two in the cargo space. They show her again getting in with her purse bag. Though we don’t see her fully in or set that purse down in that car. So it’s like trying to imply that can fit in the car, but they never said that there’s room in that car to hold more than the driver besides the small cargo space. Then she’s the only one for that car that they didn’t show driving it. So I’m gonna assume that car only fits 2 thin bags in the cargo holder and nothing in the driving area.

@@KelliConan I'm not saying to "just walk", nor am I saying that it's easy. What I am saying is that it should be done "more" if you're at the point that your size has become a problem that affects normal everyday living actions. Fat is normal, and is considered by designers as standard. Obese and up is where the problems begin. Health shouldn't be the topic being discussed though, that's up to the individual only to deal with since only they can take the steps (ha) necessary to improve themselves. Now for the actual stuff. I'll tackle the cargo space thing first and I'll agree that companies need to have that as a focus. Anything larger than your average bike should, by nature (unless it's some niche thing), have a practically sized and dedicated location for cargo. There is no practical reason for getting the product otherwise. As for enclosed scooters? Sure they are still technically scooters, but even then you can realize that there is a difference between being fully exposed to the elements and having integrated cover. A well designed and properly priced vehicle like this (or similar) should be an excellent choice for small/median distance commuting. The problem to me is that they usually seem to lack something(s), like a proper cargo space, and/or are VERY ugly. That will just deter people from an otherwise very promising option.

@@midgetman4206 I'm glad that you're not in the actual "just walk" group of people. Maybe say "try and exercise more". Most people that say "just walk more" believe it's that easy 'cause they solely that or that and less junk food/barely eat. That doesn't usually work. Though I do agree that people need to try more exercising with better eating. Though the "affordable" vehicle/transportation thing doesn't work when it's these type of things that aren't big enough and or cost a lot for what they are. It's kinda not a solution for most people since the cost of the same type of vehicle 10 years ago was about half of what they cost now and a big number of people make a minimum wage high that hasn't changed for 10 years or more. So prices went up and now if people start getting a higher minimum wage (which means that the salary minimum goes up), then the prices will go up as well even though we know that it doesn't need to (well, not as high as businesses make anything if they're not a small business). Capitalism is the issue and this isn't a fix or much of a help and that's why most companies that make these types of vehicles don't last or it goes to market. The cost is too high for the people that would want one.
