We had no idea how good we had it in 1998.
I was 15 and to be a teenager in '98 was awesome: Music, movies, sports, wrestling, video games, and of course commercials were on fire that year. I'm definitely not going to tire of giving you props for your uploads, Dave!

Where do you get these commercial from
These commercials used to piss me off. Now here I am watching them willingly while being interrupted by commercials. Nothing has changed.
The commercial at the 9:20 mark with the World Trade Center in the background makes you wonder, it's said "it's time to say goodbye to something that holds a special place in our hearts", and then it shows buildings being destroyed.
I haven't seen these in almost 25 years but I swear it feels like I just freaking watched them. Crazy to think that commercials were just as much a part of our lives as the shows themselves.

Lols the dog 🐩 bitting his behind
I still love the GAP commercials.
Snapple had some of the best commercials/ad campaigns back in the day... Win Nothing Instantly! Fucking brilliant 🤣
Another great 90s upload to marinate on. The Blockbuster opening of I'll Be There definitely hit me in the feels. Because it takes me back to those evening trips. Walking the aisles and taking in the atmosphere.
I was 13! I miss the '90s and early 2000s so much!
CellularOne, my fist cell phone carrier. I think they were bought by Comcast shortly after.
Hey Dave, just wanted to say thanks for all the vids you post, especially the ones from the 90s. Being born in '84, and a kid who watched a lot of tv, a lot of these commercials feel like they're from yesterday. Thanks for the nostalgia!

It was a very good year.........
Come to think of it, the late 90's still had a little bit of 1980's feel.
I was 17 in 98, and it all seems so fresh in my mind like ZIMA as it was my stepmom's drink of choice, and the only one she, and my dad would let me drink around them back then, but we would take Wonka bottle caps candy, and put it in the Zima for that extra fizz, and flavor. Also Dave banger new outro!! 👍

the first four commercials are real gems, i.e. the Gap Swing commercial. you've also captured a moment in our culture with this block of adverts. the transition from the analog to the digital world. many companies were still dependent upon 1-800 phone numbers to sell their products & services. while a few companies utilized websites. some were selling digital products like laptops powered by microprocessors. & so on. this block of commercials are a real treat to revisit. some of these commercials, like the Blockbuster 'I'll Be There' ad, i've not seen for well over 20 years. thanks, Dave!

I'm not sure there is any commercial that can give me as painful nostalgia as blockbuster... what a monumental part of my childhood in the 80's & 90's, even early 2000's as a young adult.

I was 14 years old when it happened
98 was the 90s hitting its really cool, slick, youthful, Gen X stride. And you could feel in every facet of the culture. The future was at our grasp with the tech, yet we were still able to enjoy the moment. And the finale of Seinfeld... Wasn't like everything we were use to from the show. But I can understand it being the culmination of the actions of the gang 🤣. Oh what at time 98 was before the millennium. Godzilla was not bad at all.

I don't drink so it makes no difference to me, but I don't think I ever heard a single positive thing about Zima. Those old, plastic, brick sized cell phones make me laugh. My mom worked at GTE for a while and there was crate full of old phone models in the garage because of it. It's impossible to forget those Herbal Essences ads. I never noticed it before, but I totally see what they did with that Totally "Organic" Experience line. As a life long Godzilla fan, the '98 movie is an insult I still can't forgive. I've never watched a minute of Seinfeld, was it really that big a deal?
Awesome commericals! The Zima one was probably my favorite, I can't wait until that makes a comeback. Thank you for making the video.
Lots of Digital Camera and office products nailing the future on the head, especially "posting about your vacation WHILE you're on vacation". Also knew as soon as I saw all those hidden compartments in a car, it was a Dodge Caravan lol. Loved that sped-up Seinfeld remix too. Great episode!
