I second the comment. Good, well spoken, enthusiastic, knowledgeable. Surely the heavens where these beautiful animals make their lifes appreciate your respect and candour.

When I saw the notification I just had to watch the video immediately. I'm in awe of both the Ospreys and the images.

I know you've heard this thousands of times, but this video demonstrates the uncanny talent of yours to tell a visual and auditory story. Amazing!

What a fantastic experience! Great story telling! No lack of sharpness or detail in your images! Love the dramatic tension of the osprey with forward thrust talons just before hitting the water!

Fantastic. What a story. Finding the same one so many months later with its youngsters. Just brilliant!

Does anyone else sometimes forget this is a photography channel? I get so absorbed in the story I often overlook the photography aspect. Can't wait until January when i take a trip to FL, hoping to find some Ospreys hunting and catch a display like this. More to see the wonders of nature than photo taking.

@@Koji-888 His open-mindedness about gear really sets him apart and makes his opinions on gear worth something. Very elegant presentation of his camera and settings, I agree. I never liked the branding of someone being a "Canon shooter" or "Sony Artisan", etc, to me that means although we may get great instructional videos we won't be seeing honest reviews or hearing about potential weaknesses either. As much as I'm not a gear person with the cost of cameras and lenses I'm really looking forwards to hearing Mark's opinion on the A7RIV and A9ii when it comes out so I can feel I made an informed decision on picking the right tool for birds and action photography.

I am planning to attend your workshop in the near future. I'm waiting for the a9 announcement to see if the arrival of a9ii lowers the price for the old one.

Amazing documentary, the photos are incredible and even the video footage is amazing. My favorite part is at 5:23 with the "fight" between the bird and the fisherman.

More amazing work Mark. The A9 + 200 - 600mm is a marvellous combination. I've been using mine with an SEL14TC of late and it still produces excellent results.

Mark, I just want to say thank you so much. This channel is what got me in to wildlife photography, and, recently, led to my purchase of the d500 and the nikon 200 - 500. I would have went with the sony, but the cost difference aas too much for me. I have been having so much fun just getting put and shooting and I really appreciate the time you put into this channel, taking great pictures and telling stories. Keep up the great work!

Wow, what an incredible video. I love your explanations of what the birds are doing and thinking. The Sony A9 and the 200-600 are a fantastic combo. I didn't quite understand about morph reddish egret. I've never seen one of the those before.
