- Send me an e-mail to deladysignercommunityshowcase@gmail.com
Please provide me with the following information in your e-mail:
- Your name
- The Steam link to your finished zoo OR all relevant information for me to find your Xbox Zoo at the Frontier Workshop
- Your KZread and/or Twitch channel (if you have these and you want me to promote them, I am very happy to do so!)
PLEASE NOTE: I won't be showing non-finished zoos and I'm not able to showcase all zoos that will be sent as I receive a lot of e-mails and try to pick the best zoos out there for a showcase on the channel.
By sending me an e-mail with your zoo link/information, you consent that I am allowed to make a video from your zoo on my KZread channel ☺
Also, please make sure that 90% of the zoo is made by you. It's obviously alright to use some backstage items, buildings, playgrounds, and other small blueprints from the workshop, but I really would love to showcase zoos on the channel that are original and (mostly) made by the creator itself. If you do use blueprints of others, then please make sure to give credits to the creators on your workshop page, because at the end of the day, all creators should get credits for their hard work, just as much as you like to receive credits for your hard work!
Thank you for understanding and I look forward to checking out your awesome zoo!

    Thank you so much for touring my zoo! ☺️ It was such a pleasure watching this video. This is my first fully finished zoo and took about a year to complete (in-between work), so I really appreciate you taking the time to visit it! Also to answer your question, I built this is in sandbox but made sure all the animals had the right amount of space, enrichment, foliage ect so they would be super happy (hence the gigantic polar bear habitat!) Anyway, thank you again, this made my day. 😁 - Joe

    Looks really great, I like how open and bright everything is. I actually had the same idea ,but its been over a year now since I started and barely got to continue with it. Actually also used those leaf structure metal pieces as well, but I guess a lot of the same ideas come to mind thinking about a preservation place on another planet plus making it look space station like. (dang i thought I was the first and was too slow xD) Went for an underground version though, with only partial surface structures. Named it project ark, which i guess is self explainatory , the common far in future scenario and earth is dying kind of story. Guess what kept me up a lot ,is wanting to try making it realistic to some degree, so ive watched videos of nasa concepts, how it could be possible to set up livable conditions on mars. They did surface structures that would have an effective shape in the sense of stability ,heat resistance and such, concepts so far are all quite round or egglike and small, one idea was directly 3dprinting them on the planet, cause it would save massively on logistics. There are also ideas for underground, but I suppose it would be a problem to get machines there, even if they are assembled on spot, which could dig to this extend. Idk it´s all super interesting, but in the end I guess I´ll just have to stop wondering if this or that was realistic and not limit myself so much by that, will jus tbe stuck breaking my head about things I can´t really know. Hundreds of years in the future who knows what could be possible anyway. Would be coolf if we ever had more control over the maps (like the vegitation in faar background is a little disturbing while trying to pretend it´s mars ) and it would be awesome to just create an imaginairy planet that way

Named it project ark, which i guess is self explainatory , the common far in future scenario and earth is dying kind of story. Still not all sure on the plant side, sure there can be light but if everything is rock, how to get all the soil there. Hard to properly light up things up underground. Most lights are not very far reaching. But interesting to try. Also torn between making the enclosures attempted realistic or more sterile and empty, which is connected to the soil problem. Have done both so far, lab like version within research facility, makeshift enclosure for new arrivals in shipping container (metal container also not very realistic but yea lol) Control room with tons of screens data and such things. Still not very far though, i´m really slow with building just anything. Would be cool if we ever had more control over the maps (like the vegitation in far background is a little disturbing while trying to pretend it´s mars where nothing would grow) and it would be awesome to just create an imaginairy planet that way Guess what kept me up a lot ,is wanting to try making it realistic to some degree, so ive watched videos of nasa concepts, how it could be possible to set up livable conditions on mars. This is pretty incredible but one thing that always bothers me about even the best zoos I've seen (particularly on zoos that aim for realism) is that nobody ever has double gate systems for their enclosures. I know the game doesn't actually need them because animals can't sneak out the doors as keepers enter/exit that habitats but creating faux double gates to habitat entrances just adds another element to the attention to detail and helps sell the design that much more. I'm just really surprised nobody ever does it.

  • @DeLadysigner

    @DeLadysigner

    2 жыл бұрын

    I think no one does because if you make a double door, the animals will be stuck in that particulair area :) which makes it hard to build a zoo at all in this game :) as animals will always be unboxed right behind the keepers gate :)

  • @6x6Majin

    @6x6Majin

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@DeLadysigner Right, I should have been more clear that they would be faux double gates that only exist to give the illusion but wouldn't actually be functional. I always do them on my habitats and I solve the problem of animals potentially getting stuck by just building the fake part of the gate to always appear open or by putting the fake part on the outside of the habitat (depends on the animal and the look I'm going for). I recommend giving it a shot because it adds a nice realistic touch and also makes for a fun challenge of incorporating it.

    At 27:25 you were saying something about the duller Mandrill color.
