    Spiral blades get such a bad rap, but they are a great choice for this kind of work. Nice job. I want to do a bunch of these in shadow boxes lit by led in my basement. Thanks for posting!

    the ones I use don't have the pins in the end but you can buy an attachment to use them.

    Hi there, hopefully some one can answer my question. I have a scroll saw that uses 133mm blades. Can I replace them with 130mm ones or it won't work?

    Regular printer paper, medium strength spray adhesive

    some are but most are just free images I find online,I type in "free template" along with what I'm looking for some I get from scroll saw groups on facebook

    Dave, great video! I can't believe I just now came across your channel. I am binge watching it like crazy! I know this comment is running long. I just have a few questions. Is that a special scroll saw you are using? Can you buy the blades in a set, or individually? I am guessing from some of your shop props that you are a Nor Cal person too.     +Billie Montgomery thank you,I'm in Rocklin and it's a porter cable scroll saw from Lowe's for $200 I use spiral blades you can get them from any woodworking store or online,and Joe is a cool dude.

    Very nice! The blade has teeth on both sides? You never had to 360 your piece to keep cutting.

    it's a spiral blade,basically it's a normal blade that is twisted

    Oh wow! This video is so old! I didn't expect a response at all! Thank you! I've been really into wood burning and have a a few things that I've created that way. I found your videos while trying to figure out how to cut birdhouses in half! lol I want to burn/paint them and turn them into little dollhouses. Apparently this isn't a very common thing to do! Now I want a scroll saw! I need to start selling some of this stuff so that I can pay for all of my new tools!!! This was really inspiring! I love your work!!! Thank you!

    +Dave's woodworks ok...so the blades u suggested are awesome thank you very much...so is there anything I can say to you to get ya to send that hulk stencil to me? I own the hulk statue in that pose but I can't find any pictures online good enough to make a stencil from...I'd love to make some kind of wall art to be next to the statue.

    I have the same saw. I have trouble with the spiral blades that want to curl while I tighten it.

    Jim the ends will curl slightly when you tighten it.

    Jim just don't over tighten them, they will snap easily especially really thin blades

    I learned about over tightening them the hard way. There is a Menards in town so I can buy craft plywood but, I like the idea of using mdf.
