It's very commendable that you are working with Bruno at this stage. Those are skills that many of our young people will never acquire. Best way for him to learn is to just do it. I think he'll amaze everyone as he progresses. You're the best kind of dad for him, lots to do to stretch his abilities!

As a father of a special needs daughter I can confirm there are some real ignorant people out there. Our task is to educate and make it obvious they are people just the same as them - but with different abilities. In spite of what the medical profession says, you will get out what you put in. Our daughter has very good speech, vocabulary and a sarcastic sense of humour, I wonder where she got that from? Give Bruno our love from the UK.🇬🇧

Thank you for sharing Bruno with us. As a retired Special Education/Life Skills teacher, I was exhilarated by watching Bruno work. The courage he showed in overcoming his sensory challenges obviously stems from the confidence that he has in his "Dad". Kudos to you. Teaching functional living skills in public schools tends to fall by the wayside in this era of mandated academic testing. The skills that you are teaching him and the confidence that Bruno gains from learning those various skills will pay dividends far into the future. Your journey is difficult, but I have to say, "well done".

I've enjoyed your videos since discovering your channel years ago, but I've never commented, until now. The videos which strike me the most are the ones with Bruno in them. Those videos not only highlight your skills and passion, but also the love you have for your son. Tonight's video brought tears to me eyes and made me respect and admire you even more. You will be rewarded, my friend, for the love you obviously have for your son Bruno. Keep up the good work brother.

My grandson who is autistic just graduated from community college. He took classes that taught him skills related to building, engine repair and welding. He can work hard. He already has a job with a salary that will allow him to support himself. He’ll alway need direction and support, but he can feel proud that as he said recently. He’s a man earning a living.

I have a grown autistic daughter myself Nathan and i recognised some of Bruno’s traits a while back and all I’ll say is it’s sad that you felt it necessary to explain his condition due to the possibility of mean comments from some ignorant folks . I totally got what a big deal it was having your beloved son helping out with the chipping process , to some it might not appear to be a great help but to me knowing what I know about a child having serious challenges on a daily basis I was thrilled for Bruno that he was getting involved helping out his dad and he did a great job for a first try . These seemingly small victories are actually a huge big deal for autistic kids . Thank you so much Nathan for being open about your beloved son the more folk are understanding about the condition the better chance for autistic children and adults to be accepted into more aspects of mainstream life , which I pray is the way forward . I adore my autistic daughter and every day brings small victories and joy which I can tell you share with Bruno . Very best wishes to both of you Nathan 👏 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

It was good to see Father and son working together. Maybe Bruno will bless us with more Dad and Lad time. You don't get good at something until you start doing it. Thanks so much. And yes, Bruno, keep up the good work. We like you.

I don’t know if Bruno reads the comments but if so, Bruno I think you’re doing a great job! 👏🏼 Whenever you do something new for the first time, it’s sometimes awkward and not comfortable. Continuing to practice and work at it makes you better. Good for you Nathan and I hope he enjoyed it. I personally love running a chipper because it’s so satisfying to watch it eat wood. 😊

It's great that you have involved Bruno in some of you daily yard tasks. It's good for him and practice makes perfect. The more he does and becomes proficient at a task the more his confidence will grow. It was great to see him. And at one point he took the initiative and put a branch in the chipper. He tried something he has never done and completed what he started and he was cautious doing it. Great job Bruno!!!

Thanks for sharing about Bruno. He’s doing great and has done more and will be exposed to more real life than most kids. I’m sure he’ll amaze you more and more as he gets older. I always enjoy seeing you both on your evening drives around the property.

Bruno is smarter than a lot of "normal" guys. It's harder to be careful after you've lost a hand or arm. I've done stuff that was really stupid and dangerous out of hubris and pride. You are doing well in exposing him to stuff a little at a time and giving him a good chance of experiencing success. And any kid is going to love having the opportunity to help Dad!

Make sure you tell Bruno that a guy watching from Philadelphia thought he was doing great, and that he’s a good fellow for helping out his old man.

It did my heart good to see Bruno out there pitching in to help his old Pa! I hope that folks that have never had the opportunity to be around special children will sometime get the opportunity, because it is one of God’s blessings.

In our family, we have a nephew who is autistic. His name is David Jr and his nickname is Bubby. Bruno reminds us of him a lot. It is great to see Bruno involved in the sawmill. He is going to become a fine young man.
