There are picks that slide on the tips of your fingers, Flamenco guitarists sometimes use them, for example. I guess maybe it's less of a hassle to just use your own nails. This guy is like no other. . .

Jazz guitarists like Johnny Smith (who wrote the famous rock tune Walk Don't Run), country music guitarists like Chet Atkins and rock guitarists like Eric Clapton usually use a pick. Classical style guitarists use all fingers on their right hand like Spanish master guitarist Andres Segovia.

If you've never seen someone play a guitar like that before, you'll wanna watch Dragonforce's "Through the Fire and Flames"... prolly one of the best guitar parts I've EVER seen!

By the way there is something you could use called Thumbpick you can put on each finger individual, but you haven't the feeling like you play with your finger only.

He cannot use 5 pics, that's why with his talent he needs 5 finger nails

1:53 maaaaan you can't play classic or flamenco with pick because you must play different strings and with a pick it would be super slow pick is suitable for pop and one string songs or electric guitar

Check out Molly Tuttle, amazing flatpicker. Just a plectrum but soooo speedy. It's obviously not on the same level as flamenco but as far as pick usage goes it's wild.

Marcin, have you checked Petteri Sariola? He does pretty much what you do. You guys could co-operate.

The most natural feeling comes from using nails. Picks arent as natural feeling. Plus it's a matter of course of their personal preference.

Different styles use a pick. It also produces a different sound. Theres also hybrid picking, like Tim Henson which incorporates both. Marcin is technically a "percussive fingerstyle" guitarist and they dont use picks

You need some guitar classes

I can see you have literally 0 knowledge about guitar, playstyle etc, so... I'm a guitarist and will explain you few things. 1st Fingerstyle makes the sound more "soft" pick gives totally different sound to the guitar/strings also you can't play some songs with the pick to make them sounds like doing it by fingerstyle way. 2nd at the beginning of his show that technique which he did with his 2nd hand is named "tapping" it gives really cool sound and is pretty easy to learn, he used many different techniques in this video and his show, but it doesnt really matter at all.

another amateur that likes himself commenting without knowing anything about guitar, fingerpicking (nailpicking), harmonics, melodic structures that fills gaps, or whatever...
