Fun fact: When I went to Japan, I visited a beach where all the senior lifeguards were Australian. We were chatting with one guy in particular about it and he mentioned that the Japanese typically are terrible swimmers and drownings were extremely common. They hired Australian lifeguards to come train them and ever since, their death rate has dropped significantly. Kinda random but that last clip reminded me about this. Aussies sure do a good job at keeping people safe on beaches!

The way the seal caused the fish to scatter reminds me of the “experiment” my brother and I used to do with pepper in water and dish soap. When you put the dish soap in the water with the pepper it moves away from the soap and looks just like what happened when the seal entered the school of fish!!

  • @CallumKray

Ha!! Tell you what.. I did that soap experiment with my year 5 class last year, I see this video and thought the exact same thing! Another great and similar experiment... Pour some full fat milk on a big dinner plate, drop in a few small drops of different coloured food colouring here and there.. then add in the washing up liquid to the middle. (Y)
