My rationale for putting it in was that I'm autistic myself and I found it funny, so I wrongly believed that other people like myself would find it funny. It’s Australian. The majority of Australian accents sound cockney because Australia was originally a prison colony and obviously the poor British citizens with cockney accents were the ones who had to commit crime to survive like stealing bread and getting arrested and sent to Australia. Meanwhile the cooler states of Australia and also the big cities have accents that sound closer to posh English because obviously the rich got to migrate for their own reasons and would choose to live in less hot/more convenient areas. Here’s a fun fact - doing prison time and then getting to build a life in Australia was so much better than being a poor English citizen that many people started committing crimes just to get deported 🇦🇺 🎉
