  • @gourdguru

    @gourdguru

    5 күн бұрын

    @@mrmanontherock yes, veterans. the Gov and the VA have played games to get out of paying for veteran healthcare for years. older veterans can't get PTSD support because during previous conflicts it was called "Operational exhaustion" or "Shell shock" or "combat fatigue" and the gov and VA pretend they aren't the same and force you to spend years amending your paperwork to modern terminology in order to get help. we deny things like Agent Orange or depleted uranium for years to avoid the cost and the scandal. if you got injured in the execution of your duties, unless you have an autographed photo of your commanding officer giving you the knifehand gesture while yelling at you to do what caused it, it's going to be called "Not Service Related". Many veterans are injured/crippled and can't work, and are on a fixed income, limited to the military pension they get, and can't afford the ridiculous med/pharma costs, or the legal costs to fight to get their VA coverage, etc., and are not capable of just getting a side hustle and grinding for the extra cash they need. another issue is that for quite a while(and sadly even today sometimes), Vets were treated similar to asylum patients back in the day, assign them meds or procedures to somewhat address the issue but more to keep them docile and manageable, with little to no regard for their longterm health. Audie Murphy is a great example of this: this guy earned every medal the military could give a soldier, was and is still the most decorated soldier in US history. came back from the war with severe PTSD. the medical approach to this at the time was to just throw meds at the problem til it went away, and the meds in question were highly addictive and not exactly the best things side effects wise. Murphy locked himself in a hotel for weeks to detox from the meds, sick with withdrawal and hallucinating, and was a lifelong advocate for veteran healthcare to have better and more affordable meds and for more multifaceted treatment, including therapy and other non-pharmaceutical approaches. this has always been the case, and there's a reason we have the "crippled or crazy veteran turned homeless burnout" stereotype/caricature. i DESPISE the military, i'm literally the only male in my direct family to not have served in it. that said, even i can admit, we(as in, the governmental We) don't take care of our veterans right. you can't take almost a kid, break him down with abuse and psychological/social manipulation, mold him into a machine, drop him into "The sh*t" for 2 tours of service, pull him out of a meat grinder evac hospital, then just drop him back in Boston with a "good job" pin on his chest and a steel plate in his head/missing leg/shellshock/hearing loss/etc., and then just hand him a twenty dollar bill and say "thanks for your service, best of luck, now get back to work".

    Keeping Ukraine safe keeps NATO from having to enact Article 5 for the 2nd time and keeps Taiwan safe from China. The 1st Article 5 NATO call out was to defend America after 9/11. The 1st and only callout of NATO Allies was to defend the USA. Ukraine is a very good geopolitical stand. Israel is a clusterfrack. Putin wants the old USSR lands back.

Your job as a news station is to tell us about the ridiculous amount of profit these companies make at the expense of public health. It’s not up to Bernie Sanders to do that research for you. What happened to the Jews living in Arab countries? Huge populations. And there are more Israel Arabs living in Israel than Jews in the entire Arab world combined. The fact is that Israel has been attacked repeatedly over and over again by Arab countries who refuse to recognize Israel leaving Israel little choice then to defends Jews living there. Arab countries expelled Jews who have no rights to to their homes and Lands and Europe allowed 6 million Jews to be killed by the nazis. Forgive Israel if they cannot rely on others to defend Jewish people.

    Zahir Muhsein was a Palestinian leader of the pro-Syria As-Sa'iqa Ba'athist faction of the Palestine Liberation Organization between 1971 and 1979. In an interview with Trouw Magazine, 31. March 1977 he stated....."The Palestinian people do not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Yes, the existence of a separate Palestinian identity exists only for tactical reasons. The establishment of a Palestinian state is a new tool to continue the fight against Israel and for Arab unity. So where are the geographical roots of the so called Palestinians??????? Hamas Minister of the Interior and of National Security Fathi Hammad, aired by Al-Hekma TV on March 23, 2012. Stated..........we all have Arab roots, and every Palestinian, in Gaza and throughout Palestine, can prove his Arab roots - whether from Saudi Arabia, from Yemen, or anywhere. We have blood ties. Personally, half my family is Egyptian. We are all like that. More than 30 families in the Gaza Strip are called Al-Masri ["Egyptian"]. Brothers, half of the Palestinians are Egyptians and the other half are Saudis. Who are the Palestinians? We have many families called Al-Masri, whose roots are Egyptian. Egyptian! They may be from Alexandria, from Cairo, from Dumietta, from the North, from Aswan, from Upper Egypt. We are Egyptians. The so called Palestinians are not even from Palestine!!!!!!

But the truth is that it costs them 100s of millions of dollars for the FIRST pill! Then all the subsequent pills cost them far less -- a few bucks each, and yet they still charge the patients what they charge, which is crazy, but that is to recoup their costs on the whole. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!So where are the geographical roots of the so called Palestinians??????? The so called Palestinians are not even from Palestine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    There is a video circulating on the web currently of about five young Israeli men walking into the house of two elderly Palestinian grandmas in the West Bank and telling them that they are living there now, and that they two grandmas should leave. They could hardly walk, were bewildered, tried to protest and were just left standing in front of their house!! This is happening as we speak. Every - day!
