Why is it that this guy always makes great music?
It's like you take into the storm and great locomotive chase and then put them together, but ironically this song is older than both of them. So this time two of my favorite Robert W. Smith's pecies came from this one.
Playing this as first tenor is like a life changing experience

YES! FINALLY!! I LOVE THIS PIECE (if you can't tell....). Brings me back to freshman year of high school, 9 years ago. I played 3rd Clarinet but was holding it down. Robert W Smith is such a fantastic composer! I hope to meet him in person some day to tell him how much I appreciate his work

Robert smith has a thing for having similar sounding pieces, all of them sounding amazing
Damn, apparently my band director studied under him, R.I.P. Robert W. Smith, he was indeed a W man.

We played this for all region symphonic band. We sight read it all first try. We then cleaned it up and performed. This piece was the best

o bama I have, I’ve played trumpet for 2 years and played alto sax for 6. I know how it can hurt, but still, positioning of mouth doesn’t depend on instrument skill

7th grade was truly such a simple time
Got to play this in band, i loved it, rest in peice robert
when i played this back in middle school, when the pause occurred the audience started clapping and then we continued playing. pretty funny
Played this during competition and got 1st place overall
one of, if not my favorite concert piece i've ever played

I played tenor sax on this 18 years ago in 8th grade, and--thanks to the typo in the trombone part that my band director liked to joke about--to this day I still intentionally mix up the words "vicious" and "viscous"
I play tuba and this song is very fun

Just wondering why an A clarinet? Maybe to allow an aspiring orchestra clarinettist to get some experience on the intonation on an A without playing with the strings? Or just for it’s slightly darker sound? Either way, cool!

Euphonium part was easily the best, aside from that bass clarinet and clarinet part.
