Very solid! Please post your pos hold pid settings! Mine is not nearly that stable
like the frame....
Impressive ! Do you know if there are any off-the-shelf systems for drones that would allow them to follow the terrain (like TFR for aircrafts) ?

No I don't. But I was going to try out altitude hold and mission control on a 10" drone of mine this weekend.

An INAV a mission with pre-mapped waypoints that aligns with the terrain for the route can be flown. Ardupilot also has similar capability via Mission Planner software. Need to use enough waypoints and spaced to have flight path align with the terrain. It would be very complicated and expensive to do real-time terrain following, as this requires high-resolution radar (or LiDAR) that can see both ground surface and forward looking radar to detect objects above the surface. Typically TF aircraft fly a few hundred feet (meters) above a pre-mapped high resolution map.
Looks nice. But from my current experience with INAV 7.1 I wouldn't stand so close to it. Inav is still full of bugs and last time my quad just went straight up and back into sky and disarms it self just during landing procedure. I didn't found what was the fault. I suspect that it assumed out of nowhere that the quad is rotated 180° and the position error was rising. But it was A quad that I flew for like a month without any problems, using all the navigation modes with no problem. Suddenly a wild bug appears. :) But good luck with your build.

lol Vince your right! What you don't see in the video is the radio in my left hand with my finger on the disarm switch! That's a 11lbs drone spinning 13" props. You get hit your losing a limb or worst.

@@rip_fpv6455 Exactly. :D Good luck and I hope you will not experience same bug that I have. :) Inav has great modes and flying long range is really great with it but If I can not trust it, I can't fly long range with it. Betaflight RESC never failed, so I have to fly wihout the Cruise mode and no Waypoints, but I will believe I won't lose my drone or worse hit something or someone due to an error in software.
only poshold or all surface mode , altitude hold , headhold activates simultaneously?

TBH I haven't tried altitude or heading hold yet. I was going to try out waypoint missions this weekend.

Don’t set them to activate together, just use pos hold to do this. Alt hold is a mode modifier, that will “work” in every mode I think, but for example it won’t work well in acro , because the unlimited lean angle allowed by acro will make the alt hold not work correctly, it won’t be able to keep up. I haven’t tried the others u mentioned. You could use alt hold with angle mode tho
What is you flight time?
How far can it fly and how long ?
@rip_fpv6455

The limiting factor is the video transmission range, which is about 7km. Flight time depends on how aggressive you fly, 14 to 20min.

What GPS is it, do you know any GPS that works on multiple bands
With magnetometer?
