Hands down these are the best banking adverts we've seen in the UK in years...Muffin me!

Utterly brilliant, I'm so annoyed that Santander (my bank) have the cheek to complain about them. I might switch.

Been a Santander customer for years and will be totally leaving once they stop giving me free Railcards etc. Their branches are terrible and only open about 4 hours a day, 5 days a week... If they haven't already been closed down

Well done NATIONWIDE!!! Well done for showing up the banks for what we all know they truly are! And congratulations for your promise to keep branches open until at least 2026! Proud nationwide member here (8 years) and not going anywhere thanks to your open branch policy. 🙏🏻

I heard in the papers this advert was banned. Funny that, as it is being played even now on sky sports.

I've been with nationwide for about 8yrs now they have been brilliant and their ads reflect their approach in that they do offer better interest rates when available and don't just treat you like a number but like you actually matter.

Sad this advert got banned. Shows just how little things like ofcom and the ASA actually do for consumers.

I'm happy to see that the big banks are unhappy!😅 So far 280 complaints - and counting. Probably shooting themselves in the foot by raising the issue.

Brilliant advert . Banked with them for years and had my mortgage with them . Never had an issue it’s brilliant tv . where I live the banks are closing and the building society’s are opening . Hence they are all getting some of my money . No bank has mine anymore

I agree - thing is Nationwide sucks (I've been a customer for years, its a granny bank). What you want is challenger banks like monzo, starling, revolut etc. They are way better - if you're under 90, don't bother with Nationwide they suck.

This advert needed to end at 50:00. There was no need to spell out the joke about "banker". It's a reasonable joke, but explaining it killed it. We're not daft.
