Compared to what trucks go for these days that's a steal! I always liked this bodystyle too.

I just bought one for 900 with 4.7. Damn fun truck with 216k miles

I drive the same truck man a 2003 Dodge Dakota quad cab truck. Mine just hit 86K. These are great trucks. I hope Dodge brings them back.

I have a quad cab I swapped a 5.9 in it! I’ve been building it into an overlander and it’s been so much fun, this thing was my first car in high school!

in 2000 I bought a Dodge Dakota 4-door four-wheel drive with the 360 engine it was not an RT I'm not even sure if they made the RT in four wheel drive. I really liked the truck at the time no one made a lift for it and I really wanted to lift it a little bit and because of the type of front end it had engineering a lift kit form was a little more difficult. what I did not like about the truck was the fuel economy it was not very good but then again in 2000 gas prices were not near what they are now.

Great video Isaac! I would prefer a Tacoma if I were going to buy one. I don’t owe anything on my 2019 Camry XSE. So I will hang on to it for a few years yet. That is a decent Dakota however! Stay Blessed Friend! Mark in Iowa.

I've owned both I had a 2000 Dakota 4 wheel drive four-door and I had a 99 Tacoma extended cab four wheel drive both of them good trucks I wouldn't throw rocks it either one.

If you want to replace a transmission every 60,000 miles by this era of dodge Dakota. It’s a ton of fun.

THE SNAKE PLISSKEN? I’m honored sir. Love your first movie, not a huge fan of the second. Well thusfar this hasn’t had a transmission replacement even at 180k miles, which is either really good or means it’s gonna need a new one soon 😂 I choose to believe the first, it runs really good.

Mine went at 160k. Rebuilt it then the flywheel SomeHow broke. Yet after removing the old one, zero signs this was cause any problems at all. New one fixed the issuse I was having tho.

I drive a first year of the 2nd gen 97 club cab v6 3.9 has 268k runs drives great has had motor rebuilt,new radiator,ball joints headlights all around an thats it

Update on my original comment FUCK A DAKOTA HAD IT 2WEEKS ALREADY REPLACED ALMOST EVERY PART SOMETHING ELSE EVERYDAY

I have a 99 with the 5.2 Magnum in her and i love it lol

Don't sell it Your friend is going to regret it later Never sell your Dodge Dakota.

I'm thinking about buying my cousin's 02 Dakota regular cab with 118k Miles and also comes with a camper, no check engine light drives pretty smooth but when I was trying to go up a hill and had my foot to the floor it didn't really go anywhere.. he's selling it for $3,500 that's a deal?

I worked at a Dodge dealer from 2004-2005. Very familiar with these. You couldn’t give me a 4.7. I’d buy a 5.2 or 5.8, but I wouldn’t take a 4.7 if you threatened to kick a puppy. That said, great video.

I actually recently reviewed a 5.2 and it is definitely superior in power and response compared to the 4.7, bit I figured it was needless to go into in this video.

Those Dakota's are absolute garbage.. when I worked in a junkyard I've killed several of them using them as yard vehicles.. all the Chevys/ford's held up to my abuse
