Dear God can we get a revival? A limited run. An Encore performance. A concert. Something. This musical. This amazing group of people. Though I'm a white boy from South Georgia I have connected so much with the heart of this show. Seeing them all speak so passionately about the show and their experience only confirms what a truly incredible phenom In the Heights embodies.

Jake Jewell they're doing a limited run at the Kennedy Center soon, not the original cast, but it's staring Anthony Ramos (original cast of Hamilton) as Lin's character Usnavi which I'm assuming is going to be amazing

I'm not Latina and I'm from Australia, but I come from a Greek background, the second generation born in Australia yet I had lived with my grandparents all my life, and my grandma was basically a second mother to me. Most Greeks are very strong to their culture and community, and I absolutely hated that when growing up (well, I'm only eighteen now, but still). It was too loud, everyone was disappointed in me because I couldn't speak Greek, I had this culture forced upon me and I just found it so annoying that I began trying so hard to distance myself from it. I began to despise Greek food, and anything Greek would make me so annoyed. But then I listened to the cast recording of In The Heights. The sense of community and pride of their culture was astonishing. They were so proud of their roots, and they felt like they belonged together because of it. This musical has made me be able to relate to that sense of community, but it has also made me realise that it isn't a bad thing. Instead of trying to push myself out, it's somewhere that I can feel I belong in. Sure, there may be different opinions, but that doesn't matter. The characters in In The Heights did as well, but they all came together like a giant family. I can do that with my family's friends. I should be proud of who I am!

Luis Miranda makes an - excellent - moderator and host. I want to see much much more of this man.

YES, CHRIS! That voice on "Here Me Out"! I love it. Shame his Act 2 solo got cut. xD! Lin playing and singing that old song. Love. Janet's voice is killer. Lin is so damn cute. "I fake good-bye'd you." xD! "I'm a do your homework on the bus to school..." ~Lin. "He is."~Luis. Dad looks so exasperated with Lin for that. xD! I love Luis as moderator.

It just shows you how one musical in the 90s (rent) gave us Lin and two good musical.

Lin and Luis’s conversation about the show Luis was an extra in gives me life also his little kick when Pricilla says “RIPPLE?”

no i literally can't. he fascinates me, like when he speaks you can just see the wheels turning and never stopping but also you can tell he wears his heart on his sleeve.

The way Luis says Lin-Manuel though, I love it

Thanks for these two videos! As we say in Argentina, In The Heights "es un sentimiento, no puedo parar". I saw the musical here in Buenos Aires, and it's a great musical whether in spanish or english! But I would've loved to see the original cast! They're all great!
