I can imagine Nick and Madison singing this together.❣
I didn’t seek this song out. It found me. And now I am held as if in amber by Ms Cunningham's mesmerizing performance of this brilliant song.

This my most favorite song of Nick's. I can't get enough and Madison adds her own magic to it too.
Gorgeous rendition of a favorite Nick Drake song, missed it when it aired! REALLY MISS this show!!
Incredible
Inexplicably perfect.
Oh! That left me breathless.
Thank you LFH for posting this video. I can’t imagine anyone on this planet performing River Man better than what you see here. Bravo!!!!!
River Man. One of my favorite songs of all time! Wonderful rendition!
Thanks for answering my prayers and including this in the KZread excerpt posts. Heartbreakingly beautiful. The LFH house band (which I hope continues to frequently feature Madison) is sooooo good. It's hard to believe that this isn't a song that the band has been touring with and polishing for 6 months - it's "just one of this weeks tunes". Yowza!
A Haunting, luxurious elegy. I was breathless near the end, waiting for her quick rebreath.
Best. Version. Ever. Perfect...
1:10 Those Chord Progressions...stunning. Melodic Jazz. Such an understated talent. What a blessing!

Her interpretation of River Man is much more dissonant than Nick Drake’s original composition.
IT IS MY JAM. ❤
Nick Drake covers often leave me wanting. But Thile's mando provides a substitution for Drakes amazing guitar playing. Nice!

Gorgeous. Up there with Aoife O’Donovan covering Joanna Newsom's "Only Skin," Chris covering Bon Iver's "Michicant."

While it is commendable that this was played in the same key as the original Nick Drake, and all played superbly on it.. I think if were played down a step and a half, it would have been more accommodating for Madison Cunninham's voice.. She has (of course) an AMAZING range (view the solo version of Last Boat to Freedom, or solo version of One By One).. But, on the flip side,, if it were a step and a half down then it probably wouldn't work as well for the string arrangements... Maybe Maddison was having an "off night", (a cold maybe.., not enough rehearsal time available to settle in to it..) or whatever (it can happen).. Still..,the performance of this song, over all, is truly amazing...🎶❣👍 One of many favorite Nick Drake songs for sure..
Spellbinding.

Good performance, thanks. It’s too bad they still don’t have proper, professional video production equipment, especially deep focus cameras on better, heavier tripods with true fluid heads.
Chris should sometimes refrain from singing.

LOL I agree. So many of these fantastic young women writers, singers and players in the current Americana type genre. They are probably all over other other music types too but there seems a rich vein in this area.
