I watched this when it came out. When they got to the acting portion it was very clear that only one of them could act.

I voted for her like a zillion times. It was so weird seeing her in superbad and trying to figure out where the hell I'd seen her before and realizing it was THIS haha. Either way, she rocked it then and she's rocking it now.

omg! I remember Emma on this show! I didn't remember her name when I started seeing her movies, but watching this footage I remember her distinctive face! I loved her on this show. She gets more awesome all the time.

A truly great rock and roll song. I would have liked to hear Emma sing it solo. Both girls were good but Alexis lost control of some of those little vocal runs and was a bit pitchy on them. Emma had a more straightforward vocal line, like the original, and she sounded pretty good. The New Partridge Family may not have taken off like they hoped but Emma certainly has nothing to be ashamed of. This girl is going to be a huge success and a big star.

They wanted to make an updated Partridge Family Show and decided to make it into a competition show. Emma and the other girl were in competition to see who'd play Laurie. They shot the pilot but it (thankfully) wasn't picked up. I remember watching this in the sixth grade and wondering why I never got to see the show. Good ol' research answered my question!
