Je reviens sur cette vidéo environs 10 ans après ma première visualisation : toujours aussi magnifique !
I find it incredible...these animators can bring so much out of you with such little detail...you know nothing about the man but when he passes you feel as if he is one of your loved ones...same with the little musical doll...he never knew the old man and he was jealous that the women doll couldn't be his, but once he figured out it that he was never meant to be with her he finished the old mans work :'(
Left me with shivers, one of the most emotionally deep short films I have ever seen. And with no words as well...

The only purpose for the doll being alive was to fulfill the old man's memory that he was building. The animation is very well done!

Without any doubt one of the most brilliant animation I've seen, there is not a single word, and that's why make it so touching I think, the music carry very well the feeling of the characters.
