About the Annual SAG Awards:
The only televised awards shows to exclusively honor performers, the Screen Actors Guild Awards ® presents 13 awards for acting in film and television in a fast-moving show which airs live on TNT and tbs. The awards, presented by SAG-AFTRA, focus on individual performances as well as on the work of the entire ensemble of a drama series and comedy series, and the cast of a motion picture. These honors are fundamental to the spirit of the Screen Actors Guild Awards ® because they recognize what all actors know - that acting is a collaborative art.
About TNT:
TNT is basic cable’s #1 network in primetime with young adults and is home to one of cable’s most popular slates of original series, including The Alienist, Animal Kingdom, Claws, I Am the Night, and Snowpiercer. TNT also presents popular shows such as Arrow, Supernatural, Bones and Castle; primetime specials, such as the Screen Actors Guild Awards® and the iHeartRadio Music Awards; and championship sports coverage, including the NBA and the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship.

This is the best In Memoriam I've seen in a long time. Music isn't over powering, clips are shown, Oscars and all other awards should take note, this is how you do a In Memoriam.

Did anyone feel like they just watched their childhood flash before their eyes? Wow! So much talent lost this last year.
Damn. I'm at the age where I'm recognizing every other person in the memoriam. The older we get the harder this will hit us
Nice to see international heavyweights like Jean-Paul Belmondo & David Gulpilil recognized 👏🏻
I feel silly for my sadness. Betty White lived nearly a century and was winning SAG Awards into her 90s Yet the gap she leaves behind both in the industry and my heart is bigger than I can adequately describe.

Stuart Damon was on general hospital for more than 30 years. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
Sidney Poitier was my hero when I was in my early 20s because of how he acted and taught the world in the movie, "To Sir With Love" how to survive in this world which he taught his students in that movie. I also, learned because my mother was too busy with her own friends. However, Sidney made me believe I can do anything and survive too.

They(the organizers)usually encourage them not to. But these celebrities always do that. It is not appropriate to cheer and clap to the departed. Each and everyone had an impact that's why they were been acknowledged in the memoriam section.

Ed Asner, Gavin Macleod and Betty White, all of the MTM show, died in the same year, last year, and Charlie Robinson and Markie Post, of Night Court, died within a couple of weeks of each other, last year. it had to be so hard for Jean Smart, winning an award and having to see her husband in the Memoriam as well.
