I think the Russian girl was the best of the bunch, but I wouldn't say she understood the emotion of the song. The song isn't filled with wrath and ire, there is anguish there too. Russian girl sounded like a fighter, and the song is strongly opposing that.

Maybe I'm projecting, but I feel like the difference between the Daria and everyone else is that everyone else picked a song that they thought they thought fit their voiced range well and they could play with. Daria sounds like she picked a song that she genuinely loves, and you can hear it with how passionately she sings it compared to everyone else. That's why it stands out.

Who is she?

The Russian woman, the first performer in my opinion.... Was by far, the best one for a few reasons. First of all, she was so passionate about the song, and she made sure others did too. She sang it with pure, raw heart because she knew exactly what the meaning of the song was... which is my reason #2... The song about war, political history, and the many lives lost because of it.. making it a very deep and powerful song... Which requires a strong and powerful voice and performance to do it justice. Most people sing it as if it's a love song... which it is NOT! And my last reason is because she put her own unique twist on it, one that works very well! Not only with the metal genre, but the energy she had in it. It was almost as if she was rebelling against the sad reality of the song. Dolores would be so proud of her!

As a dutchie from a irish mother and a dutch father. They met on his vacation. He stayed for a couple of years. I can say she absolutely did. And I really felt that. My father was a firefighter and was called in to the actual incident on march 20 1993 at warrington. He was badly injured getting people out of the rubble ... not many people understand the actual meaning of this song. My parents actually made the decision to move back to Holland after the recovery. But for Ireland this was a huge thing. IRA didn’t lay down their arms untill 2005. I wasn't even born at that point. I came one year later on march 9 1994. Darya absolutely nailed it.

The Russian girl was amazing, it's totally different from the rest. Her version is the best in my opinion, but I also like the young voice of the second singer from The Netherlands.

Honestly to say she was better than original but original is also very good .both song though are sung quiet differently and covers are only good if they are sung differently like she did and in the best way the song can be presented

Russia was my favorite she killed it, she showed emotion and really connected with the song. And most importantly she was loud and wasn’t quiet. She was herself. I love that.

It's political, when you realise that the politic is the one responsible for all the wars and deaths and all the suffering (on that particular country as per the song) but from the way she sang it, on any country we are living in. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Once you reach the 'Fuck it' state of mind level you do realise that the way she sang the song makes more sense. @@Mateo-kk3bq The range of her voice is 4 octaves. This means that It is equally well takes both high and lower notes. She also owns as the usual vocals and extreme vocals. I doubt You were able to listen to all of her songs in Slot and Nuki (Nooki).. She is the author and co-author of more than 200 songs, at 11 LP.

Unfortunately only Daria Stavrovich understood the song... She sings it with great pain and soreness as it should be sang... BTW, US singer is VERY talented. But just a little bit not enough pain...
