Hes doing wonderful, in his first month, he has done more for the country then the previous goverment did in more than 30 years. Hes amazing. This week homicides drop to 2 per day which before him it was hundreds. Bukele is considered the best president of Latin America.

19 months into his presidency, Bukele has successfully accomplished what 6 previous corrupt and murderous administrations couldn't accomplish in 40 years. Just ask any salvadorean. Even better, come to El Salvador. We welcome everyone with open arms!!

I'm a Canadian and just visited El Salvador. Bukele really cleaned up everything. I felt very safe, was never in any danger at all. I could walk the streets at night without fear. Viva Bukele 👏

He have empathy to those who suffer, he's mad at those who hurt them, at other politicians and it shows how such a great person he is. It's rare for black holes of despair like El Salvador is now. He's great because he's hope of New El Salvador.

Interesting discussion. I know very little about President Bukele and his background. But after listening to this interview, my impression is that he is rational and honest. I'm impressed, and wish him and his nation the very best. As for the female asking the questions, she seems obsessed with President Trump. I won't speculate as to her motivations, but she clearly fails to project any sense of objectivity to this viewer.

Agreed on your point with the interviewer asking Trump related question, President Bukele answered the 1st question by saying emigration is El Salvador's fault and no one else's, some reporter are only looking to create conflicts and that is not cool.

Boffin Grusky , exactly...a few days ago I heard this lady during a minister meeting asking question to the President, she seemed to me she was very obsessed with Donald Trump questions, it looks like she has an agenda to put Bukele against Trump. I even send a tweet to the President warning him about this lady motives. He is very smart, so I think he may already noticed it.

I'm American and Salvadoran since my parents are from El Salvador. They always told me stories on how the military would walk around and someone got killed almost everyday but they said it was such a beautiful place. So I really hope the new president can make Salvador a better place so I can learn spanish and visit there someday

Some of the most evil leaders in history were extremely eloquent, polite, and well mannered, and they always say they are going to save their country but end up being the most tyrannical. Not saying he is that way, but history tells us that we must never simply believe anyone because they say they plan to do what is right and appear nice on the outside. I left El Salvador un 1995 and never went back due to the situation in the country. For the First time in 24 years, I am thinking very serious about investing in El Salvador and maybe even moving back to El Salvador when I retire, I've been following Presidente Bukele since January and he is definitely by far and already, the best President the country has ever seen. God bless him and give him wisdom everyday.

Facts

I've been to El Salvador three times. I was a little scared the first time. Part of it was because I paid a taxi guy to show me around and he kept telling me to be careful. The second time I was quite comfortable and even walking around the capital at night. The third time I rented a car and drove around to a few different cities. I know the country has it's problems, but the average person in EL Salvador is very friendly and helpful. They all seem to have some family members in the US and like us Americans.

I love this President already MAY GOD BLESS HIM AND HIS COUNTRY

The best thing for any country is to retain it's best and brightest also looking for a better future. When people are leaving a country in such massive numbers it is bad, as that can't only be the poor leaving. It is a good thing when people that grow up in a country and support their country and culture into the future. When people leave they are not any longer really a part of the culture and language, but it is then at a distance. There are many that have came here because they are unable to even get what many in Mexico have when it comes to access to medicine. Then to top it off there are people that want to keep people down and do not want the people to have access to the things that would allow them to be able to live there. When I can't give something to a poor worker that needs something that I have for one of their family members to live out of fear for my life.... This is a real problem in El Salvador and many other countries in the region. I can't blame them for leaving when the level of hate against others in your own and promoting slavery like conditions. All people need to work together to eliminate the problem, as no one man or woman can remove the problems in the world.

Nayib is doing things different from what our government has been doing for many years. Our society started changing since the moment we chose Nayib and took out the two main parties that had been ruling the country for decades. We the salvadorians, are down to change. True , he is ..there is a lot of people there that speaks English and if u have money they r sent to a bilingual school or just American school private one..so I bet he went to one of those since little he does speak English and maybe another language....

La educación es importante cuando termine la U con todo gusto me regreso pero no vuelvo sin manos vacias. I'm not even Salvadoran, I'm Peruvian but I'm really enjoying listening to this man talk. Lovely voice, lovely accent, it makes it exciting for me since I'm studying Interpretation. Felt curious about him after I saw a video of him talking about the measures he would take to address the coronavirus situation in his country. Us Peruvians wished our country could handle it like that. Stay strong Salvador.

We need more President like him in Mexico and all central America.

Great to see some hope for El Salvador. President Bukele seems like a good smart man. Even he has way more great Presidential qualities than our own president here in the US.

I'm so proud of our president Bukele, we salvadorians have the hope and we'll work hard to create a new and better El Salvador.

My parents left El Salvador over 30 years ago, there is a special place in my heart for the country. We were blessed to travelled directly by plane to our new home. I feel for those people who see no way out and expose their loved ones through horrific experiences. Prayers go out to president Bukele, may he have the wisdom to rebuild a better country.

Bukele is a a great leader. He is rich, intelligent, and trustworthy. 90% of Salvadoreans support and approve of him bc of his passion and dedication to create a safer and less corrupt country. Things are changing and wait five years to see how El Salvador will be viewed

Why diss the American president? The root causes of these immigration crises from centroamerica are people escaping violence and poverty. The new president of El Salvador gets it and acknowledges the need to fix the problems that causes their people to flee in the first place. Previous governments did not and had failed to improve their people's lots hence why many are fleeing to the U.S. legally and illegally.

Although the journalist questions were loaded, I applaud her for allowing President Bukele the opportunity to respond to her questions without interruptions. He is very articulate and wise. He comes across humble and well rooted in his convictions. I wish the best to him, his family and the people of El Salvador.

He is young but he seems really capable

Whatever is going on right now I"ll blame it to the past governments that all of them where corrupts But now our President Nayib is trying hard to solve those problems that we suffering so our poor people don't have to migrate to another country.

The reporter tried to hard to make news about what the el Salvador president would say about Trump. Very good answers for the young president but I would like to hear better questions from more serious reporters.

No es dificil aprender Ingles, la mayoria de niños gringos aprender a hablarlo desde chiquitos. (Si seré pendejjj....) Pero en serio, deberias de aprenderlo, de cualquier manera te beneficiará.

@@luisurquilla7511 Yo tuve que aprender español cuando ya era grande (mi primer idioma es ingles... pues sé como es aprender otro idioma). Es cierto que no era fácil aprender español, pero es mucho más fácil aprender ingles que Chino, Maya o Aleman. Los dos idiomas tienen mucho en común. Sinceramente a mí no me gusta el ingles (suena horrible), pero hoy en día el ingles es el idioma mundial y si quieres participar en el mundo afuera de las fronteras de tu país, tienes que saberlo..

De igual manera te insto a que aprendas ingles, estas joven y nunca sabes cuando lo vas a necesitar, sino preguntame a mi que recibí ingles desde tercer grado en El Salvador y Bachillerato incluyendo tres semestres en la Nacional. Y que crees solo estudiaba ingles para pasar la materia, no me interesaba realmente. Hasta que por las circunstancias que muchos emigramos, vine a parar a la USA y medio recordaba la escritura y teniendo buen teacher de ingles allá, mi ingles era muy malo comparado con otra compañera que tuve. Y aprendi preguntando, viendo canales en ingles. Y ya no pido solo coffe en donnas como la india maria en sus peliculas.😜 Hechale ganas..vas a ver si puedes.

He speaks very good English and that is impressive, I pray they will let him change what needs to be changed. He faces a government ruled by the opposition, that does not really want change, because their pockets will suffer. They will make it their mission to help him fail. But he is strong and lucid, and determined, so I pray for his presidency to be as efficient as he wants it to be. He represents the hopes of real change and I pray he is successful! so proud of him!

Well most Salvadorans speak Spanish and English they are born that way and he is a. Very good present but El Salvador 🇸🇻 is dangerous and he tries to stop it

He’s such an intelligent, highly educated and articulated man. Way more than Americans can say. Salvadoran should be proud of their democracy and their choice they’ve just made. They are a great country, they will succeed, wishing all the best and looking forward to see your country prosperous.

His father Armando Bukele.Raced him with respect and love to the humbles people, When he was Mayor of my town didn’t get pay.And gave a bag with basic food to all elders every month of all town,children’s got good education did Build public Clinic for the town, did build houses to elderly added furniture He is an awesome person...🙏💜
