    I am a little confused on the AA hand vs QJ. When you get raised to 500 in that spot, I have to imagine the play is always to jam. You aren't folding to any turn cards since a Q or 10 makes QQ and 1010 less likely. You put drawing hands like KJ or J9 suited in a tough spot and if you're going with it, introduce the fold equity. Once in a while you run into it but if you get even 25% folds and 50% of winning hands to showdown that's a solid 62.5% in your favor.

  • @ericy5670

    @ericy5670

    You want QJ to stay in and not to fold. Jamming will fold out all worse hands and you'll only get called by better. QJ hit one of their 5 outs, it happens and that's ok.

    AA hand your 4 bet is too small. After you get 3 bet, it’s time to plow the money in. You have to realize your small bet size on the flop is going to induce a raise and be prepared to click it back. Gotta keep getting the money in when it’s likely you have the best hand.

    Personally I would have jammed the flop with the AA hand even though he still may have called. The trip K's hand also would have made over pot size bet on the turn with 2 flush draws on board and possible targeting K with lower kicker and pot or maybe jam river, You don't hit home runs an less you swing for the fences. Seems like you like to play it safe a lot and leave a lot of value on the table. You should ask Bart about both of these hands.

    Raising the flop with a pair of queens with a bad kicker in a 4-bet pot is one of the choices of all time. Definitely a play based on the classic "I put you on AK" read, because they did that to deny equity from AK, not for value.

    His theory of only having pocket 10'a Quad Queens or pocket kings is a good excuse for a bad call or jam... He most certainly can have a Queen... Someone please tell me other than if he did have Kings which would have 5 bet shoved what else he can have other than a boat pocket Aces himself or trip Queens...So there's 3 possible options that make it a bad call imo ... You're calling for a rare chop which is very unlikely for the same reason Kings are unlikely.. He would have 5 bet both of those hands pre.. So he either has pocket 10's that would have played the same way or trip Q's...

    AA should have folded to the flop raise, and DEFINITELY should have folded to the $500 turn bet. The only thing you need to know in this game is when you're beat. Experience and gut feeling or intuition. He overvalued his hand on the flop. Clearly has you beat on the turn. Should be obvious to you. No need to get married to AA. Fold it. Save $1,000 and post a win on the day. You let your personal emotion take over and overplayed AA. Learn to fold, cut your losses and post a win!

You turn trips, you continue. You fill up, you do the exact same thing. 2 suited Broadway cards is a good hand. You got *coolered* literally. It happens. Its poker. If you don't sit down 100% prepared to be coolered, you haven't played enough poker. Expect it. Accept it. On 2 the next hand.

Unless ur playing the euro regs don’t be calling 4 bets with QJ, unless ur playing extremely deep, cause in live poker ur gonna be dominated…period. So again I would agree with him, whether he wins or loses the hand, QJ calling in a 4 bet pot is a Bad Play!
