Why zeos liking stellaris might be down to zeos preference using foam tips. As ex-user of bright sounding IEMs, foam tips really does make the difference between being tortured on treble hell and musical paradise.

@@parsam1795 Tips have an impact on the sound for sure. The tips with the Stellaris are really nice compared to most stock tips at this price. I thinks the DAC he is using also has an effect on the Stellaris because almost every other reviewer feel the treble is to much but I find a faster filter with a quick rolloff on the DAC fixes it.

Have been thinking about this since they got leaked, there's another Hispanic KZreadr who also gave them a good review and he was also using an desktop AMP/DAC and said with high fidelity tracks and deep insertion this gets a perfect 10. Personally I don't dislike deep insertion and have the necessary (or at least I think I have) to get them happy. With other reviewers I just tend to believe they focuses more on their reputation and don't give the products a fair review, your way of being isolated from the rest of the community has been growing on me. More power to you Zeos.

Ahaha, Z, love you - you smacked them in face! All the 'grande' reviewers that publicly adored your SA6 Ultra but spit on the Stellaris. Stellaris is a monster - one of the 2-3 iems that play like headphones. In order to get the real performance of these: 1/ stock foam tips; 2/ deep, deep insertion, like an Etymotic; 3/ if you find it too bright after 1 and 2 - do the Short Bus mod for the Olina with the mesh on top of the nozzle!

I cant choose between the "impression" im going to get from planars or the similarly priced nanotubed starfields with their v shape/mid presence simulated resolution and bass via nanotubes. I figure both will require a bit of burn in to sound more proper/ideal. Just looking for something to UP my listening experience at work. Not really partial to one signature over the other due to a wide playlist. But both models have my interest for their own reasons. I have a history with jvc budget iems that have nanotube drivers so im pretty familiar with how they present bass and a mid bass to treble roll/transition simulated effect they tend to have depending on the song/tips etc. The tips look pretty good the jvcs came with soft tips and silicone too. This brand definitely knows what theyre doing and trying to put out with their products. They make/offer great optins/price points. Im not really looking for PURE performance just something id look forward to using, or songs id fall in love with using specifically with those IEMS. So stellaris are better low end+staging vs the mid range/depth the starfields have with the nanotubes. But z seems to be pretty Hyped on these. Though i could/expect to see more planars out of moondrop before any nanotubes so i guess its more of an appeal thing for me. I guess the staging/low end makes these more ideal as a gaming option giving them some added + points. Just depends i guess though i like a bit of brute mids for jazz tracks with drums and highs at wits that concept of presence sounds nice too. Though the stellaris have that staging and low end presence/imaging that gives them a good floor/staging that sounds WORTH for items as well. PPL really undersetimate carobn nanotubes though and their burn in/period that long burn in equates to a different listening experience throughout a month which is its own hidden value/fun if youre tolerable of this process...as tracks evolve into a deeper/better experience, as mid-treble and vocals/guitar/imaging matures.

There was one reviewer who I will not name, who chose not to include the Stellaris in a planar round up review because "I took one look at the graph and knew I did not need to listen to them". If we only needed the graph to tell what they sound like then we don't need him to review anything for us. That guy lost so much credibility for me during that video.

@@in-earfetish thanks man, when I get them I’ll burn them in. I use iems for my recording studio and for live gigs with local artists or opening acts. Most main acts have their own. But we often have to supply others. This is my B- line iems for those acts, we use good budget units for this so if one is destroyed or lost it’s not hundreds to replace. I keep a dozen of each in stock, 7hz Zeros, Heart Mirror, BLON 03, Truthears Zero, Chus, and many more. We never use the supplied cables but always upgrade to a softer cable because comfort is a definite issue onstage. We use only Comply tips because of the huge isolation and they sound great. I currently have ten more iems on the way to test. Anyway, thanks!! I watch all your reviews, keep ‘em coming, Sonny T

Is there a dongle dac that will run these? Being fairly new to this sport, I need to do some research on "burn in", I get the fundamental concept. I mainly use IEMs (the one pair I have currently) for iPhone listening, I'm not opposed to getting a portable DAC or dongle DAC, but it needs to be somewhat portable. At home, I listen to Meze and HiFiMan cans off of an SMSL stack for music and gaming.

I was surprised to hear your glowing review for this IEM, as every other reviewer seems to find them very bright, sharp, poor tonality, etc. It seems the consensus is great technicals, poor tonality. There definitely is something great about these. After EQing the Stellaris to roughly HFRT and A/B testing with my Variations, the slight resonance (not distortion) the long metal nozzle imparts on the low end adds this slamming feeling to the low end that I haven't heard from other IEMs I've tried. It must have something to do with that huge planar driver pushing a lot of air right down the nozzle too. Listening to Octavarium through the two really highlights Mike Portnoy's performance vs the Variations. Overall, the Variations has superior technicalities and tonality stock, but that planar driver beats the LCP DD flat out for rendering bass. I hope Moondrop redesigns the B2/S8 chassis to replace DDs with a PM driver like this at some point.

Is this better than s12? Which I have or get the oh10?

I mean this is the cheapest option. OH10 is wider than the S12. What you are looking for matters.

Small thing u told s12 needed bit mor bass for ur preference then did z12. But Stellaris has even lesser bass than s12 but u like them. I'm confused 😅. Still like this short review style of 10min👍

The trick to these is POWER!!!!!! They sound very thin and bright off a phone. Plug them into a desktop system and they come alive. They remind me of the Hifiman He-6, without the proper power they sound like crap. Give them the power they need and they can’t be beat. If you want a portable setup to run right off your phone, look elsewhere.

@@misterperson7070 no, the only portable I own that can run these properly is the IFI Signature. If you want easy to drive and you listen at lower volumes, look elsewhere. These require desktop power to reach their full potential and show you what they can really do.

@@BayernMunchenFan11 it’s not a matter of being able to run them. These need to be run with authority. If not, they sound very thin and bright. Use some serious power and they come alive. Planar drivers thrive on power, the more the better. Which is why I don’t use planar driver earphones off my phone. Why is this concept so hard to comprehend?

I have a question, I got the sennheiser ie300 and they are good but they always leave me wanting more. I was thinking letshour s12 or blessing 2. I use them for casual music listening, but mostly gaming. Which one of the two would you recommend for me?

I got one. What a big mistake.bright as hell. Good for the Chinese Market taste. Not for me for sure. Screw the details. More upper mids and treble always gives details. But does not sound real for sure
