I think DSP is only a good thing when either the analog sound is already worth buying at the price or the DSP correction is so good that it defies the price bracket. Hopefully it doesnt serve to just boost mediocre performance to decent for the price.

@@ZandoNoid In that case you have to FORCE a usbC option and only that. As soon as Joe Schmo Audiophile gets a 3.5mm or 4.4mm to use they are gonna and expose the horrible truth of the situation. just make the cable a USBC and don't offer anything else.

I was looking for a new pair of IEMs at the start of april. I was about to buy the Splendor II, but ended up canceling my order after I watched your review of the Canon II. I have the Canon II now and Im so satisfied, that I dont think its worth to buy more IEMs. Either way, Im glad that I can finally look back and not question whether I made a bad decision or not.

I'll probably read that as "in-tu-o:-ra". Is Elysian Pilgrim not out yet? Why do I only see one review on it? I'm looking for a pair of new IEMs in the 300-400 range and I don't know what to get. I don't mind DSP and I was gonna buy the Crinacle x Dusk but it's not available in my country, but the Pilgrim is available for preorder. Any suggestions for neutral tuned IEM with good treble?

I think iems should be tuned to sound the best in it's analog form, and dsp serving as a variant. Or wise versa, have a 50% price off for the dsp variant, if the analog form is not well tuned.

Just like the dusk, you can make it sound exactly like the dongle version with some EQ. If you like the sound of them without the dongle, i don't get why are you so upset with it. Think of it as a free dongle. It is nice to have options.

yea imagine making great usb dongle (Moondrop Dawn Pro) and then rendering it absolutely useless because Moondrop May would not sound great without the dsp cable. Now that would be a shitty move

What about folkks who only play via dongle on cellphone? We all dont have the setup you do, nor can afford it. So we just use a dongle.

I mean you can get a normal dongle and a good IEM instead. Why get one that is married to a specific dong?

Put DSP in the outside wheelie bin. Sick of seeing it becoming a trend. Money should only be spent on expensive IEM’s that have been engineered properly.

Would you please review the earphones without bogging down on some stupid accessory embedded EQ cable shit. Some of your viewers here actually want to know are these earphones any good or not. I don't want to spend hundreds euros on some crap. If i want to waste money i can always flush it down the toilet. BTW thumbs down for uploading this supposedly review non review.

Getting a bundled dongle dac is no different that you spending 1000's or amps and dacs yourself. I think you're just afraid the margin is closing on 'audiophilia' and 'standard' these days. Maybe climb down from your high horse

Well getting a dongle is 100% fine and very convenient for modern phones if it is a NEUTRAL dong. Something that is there as a convenience, tuned flat, and usable with any iem or headphones, THIS dong however, being sold to you with this IEM is proprietary and is there with an essentially unfinished, untuned IEM. Forcing you to use it as a "HOTFIX" with custom DSP that makes the IEM sound correct. The bad part is you cannot simply use the IEM standalone as an IEM on any source you want. Instead are forced to use a digital source with its dong or they don't sound nearly as good as they can.
