I did not buy a 400$ DAP to use a DSP cable. That is why the DUSK is a no go for me!

I really don’t want DSP to become the norm for manufacturers. Just make a good product from the get go and leave dsp for people that want to use it if they want to mess with stuff. We’ve kinda seen it with new dusks, with them sounding good on DSP but only “sure, okay” on normal cables.

DSP introduces nitpicking between the tunings that people have in front of them, which introduces decision fatigue, stressing them out and ruining their experience. Best thing to do is to make the definitive choice and completely ignore the other option. You're definitely feeling it right now and it's probably better to take a linear approach from here on out.

It's OK to listen to the dongle that's included, but I would weigh the original tuning of the IEM above all. You shouldn't have to "fix" your fucking $600 IEM out of the box.

I love the purple but nah I'm good on DSP... IMHO, it should be "perfect" out of the box. But I'm new so my opinion doesn't count.

No such thing as perfect and DSP should be embraced. Get cheaper products that are better performing. To get an ideal response, you typically need way more drivers or you have to do corrections with the crossover which cause other problems. This isn’t cheap, of course, so I can’t see how this would be a good option.
