Wooow!another great aspect to this conversation mental health and genetics ...one more reason to have this conversations on mental health because it runs down the families..some like schizophrenia might skip a generation and reappear in the next one...which means eventually it's gonna show up so we have to know how to deal with it when it comes.its time special schools that address these needs even in children are set up or personnel trained with this information to be inculcated into the schools...amazing conversations!!

This is good to inform the public who label any behaviour they dont understand to be Bi-Polar. If you have an eccentric or extroverted or strong willed child you label it Bi-Polar. If you dont get someone, they're Bipolar. Everyone has different personalities and the less socially acceptable ones should not be labelled as a mental illness

And the challenge is we cannot talk about these things on public for fear of stigmatisation. I recently confided in a colleague and the trolling I am getting Oh my God! Has really damaged me more. We prefer suffering in silence.

Anyone with Bi-Polar needs mood stabilizers, yes drugs are harmful but they are sometimes a life saver.

Trying living with someone with *UNDIAGNOSED BIPOLAR* and you HAVE NO CLUE! It’s a horrible illness *WORSE* than a physical illness.

I think my brother is going through something... We were supposed to graduate together last yr but he didn't and it created a lot of trouble and he went deep into something I can't explain... It hurts alot coz I don't know where to start with him we used to be close but a drift started from no where. I know him so well I know something is not right

This is very insightful and the guests (Wairumi & Kuki )are very eloquent I must say,I am struggling with the explanation especially the feeling you get wehen youre feeling low,how is it different from probably somebody who did construction work for 13hrs and only got like 4-5 hrs of sleep?how is it different from a lazy morning?what is that distinction ? This might come across insensitive to others and i apologize but its my opinion, for someone like me and probably others out there i wonder if our parent/gurdians would see this as a disease try staying in bed ati you cant get up,sijui you dont have enough energy 😂😂😂,viboko zenye utakula hapo !!! Utapona and your mitochondria will quickly generate some energy infact the thought of it will not a llow you to wait 😂🤣 (some of this illnesses know where they can be hosted)im just saying 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️.Caroline put word out to find a guest that has experience with depression and is on this other side i mean struggling just want to learn if the experience is any different. Otherwise Wairimu and Kuki thank you for sharing this private details of your life with us.

Mania is really like personality on steroids. I normally feel like my thoughts are so many like they are hitting each other in my head like brownian motion lol. I can't sleep. Physically I shake a lot. I can't sit still. If you were to talk to me, you would me shocked. Too many words, too many opinions. Grandiose feelings, feeling like you can do anything. Can't focus or concentrate, can't think straight. Keep this up for a week, then you must crush. And the depressive state begins.
