In depth 1bbl home brew session

Brewing up a beer made mostly of Pilsner malt, a little carapils, and some flaked barley. Hops were Wakatu and motueka. I tried to get more in depth in the process so the video is a bit longer, try it on 1.5x speed. Thanks for watching.

I've had some rough ones lately so it was nice to have a smooth sailing day. Really love this set up when everything goes well.

It's been a long summer! I wish I had more time to brew and more time to kick back for some beers. Kilt was out since I was working in the shop as I brewed. It'll be back at some point. Brew on buddy! The beer doesn't make itself!!!

Awesome video! Question if you don't mind: How is step mashing on the HERMS? How quickly and effectively does the mash tun come up to temp e.g. from a protein rest at 125 up to 158 for a sacc rest?

I've never done one before on it, it takes about 15 minutes (from a bad memory?) To come up from 154ish to mash out at 178ish. I'd say you'd be looking at a solid 30-45 minutes just guessing.
