On the occasion of IPRS Chairman Javed Sahab's 77th birthday, IPRS brings you a riveting session - "Tumko Dekha Toh Ye Khayal Aaya". An engaging conversation with the legendary poet and wordsmith Javed Akhtar, unfolding enticing stories from his life and creation.
Javed Akhtar, a man of many seasons, needs no introduction. He is a well-known Indian poet, lyricist and a scriptwriter. Javed Akhtar became one of the best known scriptwriters during the 1970s and 80s. Some of his best work consists of ‘Andaz’, ‘Yaadon ki Baarat’, ‘Deewar’, ‘Seeta aur Geeta’, ‘Dostana’, ‘Sholay’ ad ‘Mr. India’. With time, Javed Akhtar left screenplay writing and became a lyricist and a social-political activist. He was awarded the civilian honour of Padma Shri in 1999, followed by the Padma Bhushan in 2007. He has not only received the Sahitya Akademi Award in Urdu for his poetry collection ‘Lava’ but he has also won multiple National Film Awards for his contributions to the film industry.
In 2019, he was conferred with an honorary doctorate (Doctor of Letters) by the Jamia Hamdard University. In 2020 he was awarded the Richard Dawkins Award for being a "powerful force for secularism, reason, and human rights, challenging superstition and intolerance through his work in poetry, screenwriting, and political activism".

Javed sahab pata nahi ki aap ye padhenhe ya nahi..par aapki jyadatar baato se sahmat hu..aapke lagbhag sare interview maine dekhe hai..vo sab baate achhi lagi kyuki kuch sikhne ko mila or kuch aisa laga ki ye baat to main bhi kahna chata hu..par aapki tarah shabd use nahi kar pata hu..isliye shabd aapke use karta hu..par thinking to bilkul same hai..
