I moved out of NYC a few years ago now, but I regularly attended RedBar for several years. Adam truly is a great guy. I’d only been going a few months when I mentioned I was thinking getting about a particular watch, but couldn’t decide on it, and it happened to be a watch he owned. He just handed it to me and said ‘well, try it out, you can bring it back next week’. I was amazed, and I ended up buying one a month later! Weekly RedBar meetups are probably the number one thing I miss about New York, and Adam’s energy and enthusiasm make it happen.

It makes me so happy to see how each collector brings such passion for their watches. Like for them, this is THE watch. It may not be a Patek or an AP, it can be a Gshock or an IWC and they still throughly enjoy each piece.

My favorite watch interview period! No pretentiousness here. More long interviews like this please.

Awesome interview! I like this guy.

When I first saw this I was thinking "wow, 40 minutes?" It was great though and it really flew by. Great to hear his Reverso story. I have the 2012 version with the brown strap and it was actually my first ever "luxury" watch. Not much romantic about it as I got it on eBay and I was scared to death it was going to be a fake or that I'd scratch it, but now I just enjoy it. Can't see myself parting with it either.

Adam is an amzing guy! We were both part of a outlaw dive watch forum (DWC) when the East Coast guys started meeting at the Red Bar, Yes that was the name of the place! Me being in California, the Monterey Bay area to be exact the Forum had a big following from guys up in the Bay Area and future owner of the forum Matt set up a few get togethers up in the city, usually for lunch but it never had the following like the NYC crew! Was always proud to hang at the same forum as Adam and he was such a great guy! I've got some pics of the watches at a couple get togethers before there was a RedbarSF!

LMAO! The most interesting watch in the collection (JLC Incursion on His wrist) didn’t even get mentioned 😆

A group chat at college about how we were all funding education and keeping our heads above water. One guy's solution to lack of funds was wearing beaten up clothes and turning up late to see his mother complaining of car trouble. Appalled at her twenty-year-old looking scruffy, she raised his allowance and insisted that he go shopping with her so she would treat him to new outfits. Everyone else busting their humps to keep money coming in... Not really impressed by his quick tip. Some people just dont know any different from how they've lived.

Adam is quite childish for a "professional" in the industry. Dude was disrespectful to Teddy Baldassare for absolute no reason other than to get attention. Unfortunately he and people like Barbara Palumbo are the ones that end up ruining the watch industry with their self-entitled snobbish ways not to mention the way they bully people like they are still in high school. No respect for this guy at all.
