All four of them are like the stages of my roasting marshmallows. Melvin, perfect straight out of the bag. The one you did in this video, slightly warm, just starting to get toasted. The other dog you groomed, lovely toasted perfection itll be crisp on the outside gooey on the inside. Gidget, when my brain looses track of what im doing and focuses on a trail of ants that found the piece of sandwich i dropped four hours ago and then i get startled back to reality by the people around me shouting that my marshmellow is on fire. So then i have to eat a burnt mallow.

I don’t know about every Pomeranian but my late Pomeranian was super smart. We got him into training when he was about 4 years old and he quickly learned several tricks and kept learning new things during his life. He knew when we changed from “stay at home” clothes to “outside” clothes and he would protest because he thought we would go out. I miss him, rip Pipoca.

I worked at a groomers for over 2 years and the only dog we could not groom was a pom. It was like a rabid tasmanian devil with an unscratchable itch and he was going to fight us. He won, we couldn't even get near him, couldn't clip his lead, it took 3 of us so we had to call his owner, she said he was an angel and didn't know what we were talking about. We were all traumatised by this foxy looking psychopath

Our Pom died last fall at 20 years old and right up to her final day she believed that she was my wife's capable and dedicated protector. That little dog truly believed that she could easily overcome a Siberian tiger if that's what it took to protect my wife. She was also the sweetest most loyal little dog you could ever meet.

It always makes me happy to see people realize how awesome little dogs can be! A lot of people seem to see the toy breeds as, well, toys or accessories--just objects that we dress up and play with. But tiny dogs are still just as much dogs as larger breeds are! They have just as much personality and thoughts and feelings as bigger dogs do. Tiny dogs can be wonderful buddies, provided you treat them like any other dog, and give them the same basic respect and compassion you would any other dog.

@@thewolfofthestars1847I agree. I’ve had to poms and they are great dogs. Smart and great emotional support. I think little dogs get a bad reputation since people let them get away with bad behavior (biting, growing , etc) because they are cute and that creates behavior problems overall.

@@MeShellyShellShell Exactly. A Chihuahua lunging at a guest is annoying but still gets a laugh because no one gets hurt. Make that Chihuahua a German Shephard and it's suddenly a very different story, despite the problem being the same. Discipline is key, big dog or small. @@impunitythebagpussI always said I would never get a little dog- they aren't really dogs - I have always had Border Collies..but after spending $21,000 in medical bills in the last 3 years of my last Border Collie, I cannot afford a 'normal sized dog- monthly food costs are now 40-50 vs 300-350 for my last dog - and my disability has worsened over the years and walking, training, playing etc with a 7.7lb dog is do-able whereas my Borders required 5-6 hrs of exercise daily for most of their lives... I now have a Toy Aussiedoodle and despite never wanting a boy dog (he absolutely insisted despite me visiting his breeder with only looking at the girls)- I cannot believe how much I love this little guy- while he is little, he is very much just a bigger dog in a smaller body - sure I can carry him but rarely do- he loves the neighbourhood kids, loves the snow, loves to play fight, is very smart and loved training- I only wish my body would let me do agility with him because he would do so well ( my other dogs were agility champions)..so never say never

You'll need deep pockets. As Vanessa has said in her previous Pom groomings, as a breed, they're prone to many health issues, not just alopecia.

I do find it nice that she said how easy it is for a pom to get a brain injury. 'Just like Melvin after he fell from the couch'. How many people think it can do no harm if your dog falls off the couch?

I had a beautiful red fox pom,he was a terror. I couldn’t believe such a dog was at the animal rescue. So I fell in love and brought him home. He hated my mother tore up her recliner and even went poop in it. Tried to bite her every chance he got. I gave him to a nice couple. He destroyed their relationship,he slept in the bed while the husband was forced to sleep on a couch in the basement! Don’t underestimate these dogs because of their size. They are a force of nature.💚✌🏽🫶🏽

@@somebodyyoudontknow3980it's not the dog's fault, they're animals that don't think about their actions, they follow instinct. He was supposed to have strong boundaries, but his first owners failed him and his subsequent owners failed to help him. I bet the first owners allowed him to sleep on the bed, pampered him, and even laughed and encouraged him to be overly protective because it was funny to them.

I mean to be fair all these stories, I’ve heard before but with a different dog breed. Point is dogs will be dogs, it’s all about training them. I have a Pomeranian and I really took a lot of time training him but he’s super obedient now and a pleasure to anyone he meets. Little dogs in general are scrappy though because they have to be.
