I swear this project is cursed. When I tried to render the first half of the animation, blender would crash every 10 frames. it's almost like there was an invisible force not wanting me to change Haurchefant's fate or something. The second half, however, was rendered without a single problem. I have never faced so many technical problems on a single project and I'm glad it's finally done.

Dark Knight's story is so good when Uldah is fresh, and this just fuels it even more. The more horrifying heartbreaks and infuriating mistreatments the WoL faces before picking up that job crystal, the stronger the story hits (imo.)

I'll be real, with how Haurchefant was forced onto us as characters it 1 made me instantly be like "okay this guys going to die" and 2 due to how fast it all happened and because it didn't feel very organic, it really didn't feel like that big of a deal. Oh look a guy we met a few weeks ago died, so sad anyway. Honestly I wasn't even a big fan of Papalymo but his death got me real sad. Much more of a build up but I will admit I started in Gridiana so that probably helped.

This is the kind of shit Fordola saw in you with Echo and wondered how the fuck you deal with all that and don't break. Good shitpost turned into solid story, very impressive.

I went from giddy and happy to just plain sad... Definitely the FFXIV experience.

I felt a great disturbance in the Force... as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in joy and were suddenly silenced....until they just...cried. Splendid work, BeneG. I tip my hat to you. Now if you would excuse me, you seem to have reopened an old wound that now needs bandaging...

That closeup on Haurchefant right before she wakes up was haunting and horrifying. Exceptionally well done.

the amount of attention to detail you put into these is amazing. How the sprout healers eyes move near the end you can tell shes thinking a thousand things a second

No, that still doesn't explain why Ramuh turned into a hot centaur dude or why Titan lost a lot of weight and got a bike. Either WoL or Ryne have a very active and possibly damaged imagination.

Naw. I love G’raha to death but Hauchefant came through and believed in you when you were a literal fugitive. He stopped at nothing to make sure you could become the famed hero you had yet to be. Without him, your story wouldn’t have grown to the point where people made a whole time travel project for Raha to save you. Edmont wouldn’t have written your story to be passed down. Hauchefaunt solidified your path to legendary status.

They actually changed the ending of that raid after the 6.3? update to include a scene with Alphinaud trying to heal him and then saying the wound refused to heal with normal healing spells.

I went from laughing to sobbing uncontrollably.

Fun fact: In the Inn room of the The Forgotten Knight, there are bottles already there. I think he did move some but there are a lot there by default. Even on the floor if I remembered correctly. Before I got a player room to place as many bottles as I could to show what an alcoholic my main is. I used that room for it.

Amazing work. Really captures a lot of the emotion that we as players feel the days after The Vault... You really got me in the first 2/3rds of the video, where I thought it was just all happiness, sunshine, and memes. Much more of a gut-punch than Squenix themselves with their dull flashbacks after HW.

I love how this was basically me during Heavensward. Catboy White Mage main, didn't have a single other class leveled, and was similarly depressed when I finished the Vault. All my friends got quiet when I told them when I unlocked it and then didn't do it for a few hours, I was driving them insane by delaying for no reason lmao

This went from "fk yeah!" to "EMOTIONAL DAMAGE!" faster than Estinien spends money... I just got whiplash! My boy got did dirty.

Good to see I'm not the only ones whos character experiences nightmares of failure. For my WOL they remember reaching out to Edda in the deep croft, reaching out a hand to snatch them from the edge only to miss unwilling finger tips by inches. The smell of burning wedding dress and burning skin, wet eye filling with gladdened despair. Her body plummeting as a blaze to the uncaring rock below like a forsaken comet. All the fanfare deafened as a single life slips through such praised fingers. The great vaunted hero and the broken corpse they stand upon like uneven stones. And the bodies of those all too willing to lay their lives down for them. A single death growing into a parade of corpses, their weight pushing the hero forward less they too fall among the mass.
