In A Violent Nature - Movie Review

Фильм және анимация

#moviereview #movie #film
In a Violent Nature movie is quite the experience. In a Violent Nature 2024 is a movie that left me emotionally drained. In a Violent Nature trailer promised a new take on the slasher genre and it totally nails it. My in a violent nature review covers what makes this film so effective. Oh and in a violent nature movie has probably one of the best kills in the history of horror so there's that too. My in a violent nature reaction is a very positive one, it was not at all what I was expecting and it will be a film I will remember for years to come. In a violent nature horror film really delivers on the horror, it might be too slow for some but if you stick with it I promise it'll be worth it. In a violent nature 2024 movie is easily one of the best horror films of 2024 and if you're a horror film fan then this is a must watch. Please check out in a violent nature if you're at all interested in it, you'll walk away as drained as I was.

I was taken aback at the odd tone but as it relentlessly went on, I think I understood part of it: by taking a genre that by its very nature and audience reaction you know is ridiculous, and treating it "seriously" (i.e. exploring why the trope of the plodding slow killer can come from nowhere to drown or slaughter a convenient victim), the result was an almost meta experience where jaded viewers that have grown up seeing violent slasher films as "fun" start to question why they're feeling uncomfortable with THIS one. It was an interesting film.

i was very lucky when i saw this friday afternoon. i not only had the whole auditorium to myself, but other than a few lobby employees, i had the building to myself. this was easily the best movie theater experience i’ve ever had. thank you for noting this movie’s tone. i never giggled or smiled either. i love the way this film ended. the sound throughout the film, those long shots of johnny marching closer, really did something incredible for the end of the film. i thought it was an interesting depiction of trauma. after a few hours thinking about it, i posted my review here. you’re the only other i’ve seen that appreciated the the details i did. for a largely silent film, i loved everything they did with the sound direction in this movie. how about that song with the ear phones guy?! emotionally draining. i don’t disagree but i also found it cathartic, considering the minimal exposition we received

i saw it again today and on the topic of trauma, i decided the scene where he steals the mask was my favorite part. that was the last thing he saw himself before he died. the theater was pretty full today too. love to see it.

I absolutely enjoyed this movie. However I definitely laughed out loud several times. I thought the humor was fantastic. The mask itself was very funny but the story that the victims were telling about Johnny being slow was hilarious 🤣. I really enjoyed each kill scene and even found some humor there. Overall I gave this movie a 7 out of 10. It left me thinking that Johnny could be a new cult slasher villain and I honestly hope we see a part 2 in the near future.

The film made me question what we normally get out of slasher movies, how odd the narrative of slashers is, why has this story been repeatedly told, when it is, if you break is down to its basic components very strange indeed. I had the same experience of people laughing, whilst I didn't. I found it trance like. The murders seemed weird forms of outsider art, pretty much the only expressions of identity from the otherwise emotionally deadened killer (well there is the bit with the keychain). The denial of an expected ending also made you question the conventions of the genre, and why we'd want one thing and not what we're presented. In simply shifting the emphasis and keeping all the ludicrous cliches the film dares the audience to think, which explains, somewhat, the resulting boredom I've observed in some reviewers. I loved the film - good review too, thanks.

I never felt like the Killer walking shots were overly long. But I thought the dialogue of the young folks was trying too hard to be cute and edgy and trendy and it was just awful. Give them a kind of personality where I'd feel more sad if they died. But the killer walking closer to other people and them not quite noticing it was hella intense, though.

Killer review! New fan!! I absolutely loved it. I was treating the movie as serious as I could but as you said, the kills were so over the top and so brutal that I couldn’t help but have a smile on my face and embrace the absurdity of it. I feel like the ending message got a little muddled because Johnny wasn’t killing just to kill as the end metaphors alluded too. Overall as someone who lives for the genre I couldn’t have been happier. The constant homages to B movie slashers yet spinning in its own artistic sensibility was just great for me. However my girlfriend thinks it’s the worst piece of shit she has seen and we have been arguing about it all week hahaha. Glad to stumble across your review / Channel!

I think the movie is a little overhyped, but I’m going to give it another watch when it comes to Shudder. I know a lot of people online are saying they found the Johnny walking scenes long and drawn out, I actually didn’t find that at all. When I knew we were getting towards the end of the movie I felt like I wanted more. I think I’m one of the few who were actually a little underwhelmed with some of the kills.

I loved this movie. Saw it more how you described. The only time I laughed was when the guy jumped out to "distract" Johnny because it was such a sudden subversion of a well worn horror trope. Other than that the kills were pretty grusome. As far as the log splitter scene, I'm pretty sure it only looked like a continuous take, but cut on the few occassions Johnny walked in front of the camera and blacked out the view for a second.

The kills were LOL good and worth the price of admission. The last 10 minutes were def the worse part of the movie. Maybe if they had better actors that ending would have worked, but as it is, it’s lame af.

Yeah but what was your interpretation of the ending ? I got out of it her focusing so much on what happened to the bear in the story afterward , is the same way she is concerned about where Johnny is and if he comes back . I just thought it was delivered horribly cause the acting is really bad , even that final girls facial impressions acting wise were awful

I took it like it was a B movie. I did enjoy this movie and other people in my movie theater felt the same way. There were some heavy laughter during some of the kills. I don't normally say this about slow movies. I felt relaxed and peaceful in the woods for the most part. Loved the kills and following Johnny was different for a horror movie. The ending was blah.

I made sure to let myself get into the mindset of the movie and felt the disturbance, but it’s hard to not laugh with discomfort at those two kills 😮. Won’t be forgetting about the experience anytime soon 😂. I still hear my own footsteps since I left the theater lol

Good review my friend . I almost 100 % agree with everything you said about this movie. I sat in the theater watching every second of the movie not wanting to miss a thing, and my friend kept falling asleep on it , lol. Ultimately, I gave it a 5/10 score . I enjoyed the kill scenes, like you, I watched that ONE kill , and I was really paying attention, and trying to figure out HOW they pulled it off, lol. I kept noticing the victims eyes , I was waiting to see that fake eye look pop up any minute, but it never did , so props to executing the kills pretty darn well. The one kill that is extreme and going to be talked about for a good while, it was cool, it was very extreme, but , it was something you could see coming before it was completed, unlike the kill scene in Terrifier 2 ! THAT , is still my top kill scene. The cast gave me nothing to care about any of them . The long spans of , crunch, crunch, crunch through the woods was a bit much . And I was on the edge of my seat , waiting for it to happen during the last 10 minutes of the movie ,only to be left saying " Really ? " Lol * Slight SPOLIER alert * Did you realize the final character introduced to us was from Friday the 13th part 2? That was Lauren Marie Taylor who played Vickie, the girl who had the crush on the wheel chair guy.

No disrespect but…..He was walking toward his victims!!!!! I wish people would stop acting like he was mindless walking around. I didn’t even notice the bad acting because it wasn’t about them, it was about the killer. Besides slasher victims in general are fodder for the antagonist, they’re not known for deep thought and smart decisions. Can’t wait to own this creative movie.

Its not a B movie? It was made with a fraction of what every other release this summer. Long, drawn out shots with no music doesn't always mean "high concept art." Furthermore, if there's a scene when someone gets their head pulled through their stomach, it's also kinda hard NOT to laugh at the absurdity. It sounds like your issue is you WANT this movie to be more artistic than it's execution allowed it to be.

Terrible. It feels like "interactive Sega CD game". No art there at all. If you want the most violent movie in the history, then somebody must take Mortal Kombat seriously. Instead of making kiddies MK. Yoga kill is definitely copy of a Scorpion Fatality and isn't as impressive as the game. Nobody can beat Cronenberg's artsy gore. So they should just drop it please.
