It is a dirty business, but you've got to keep those psykers in check - especially when the black ships stop coming.

To your comment about how the neuro suppresants "work", I'm noticing a resemblance to the Psyk-Out munitions used by the Grey Knights and certain members of the Assassinorum, which are made with....basically dead flaked off skin of the Emperor since his interment in/on the Golden Throne. Insert 40k explanations as to why, but short version is when Psyk-Out rounds or grenades impact/detonate, the psychically negative remnants of the Emperor sever the connection to the Warp of anyone/thing who is hit by the round/in the blast radius. Great for combatting Daemons/Rogue Psykers/Chaos Sorcerers. Given that the suppressant in this episode is made by gathering the ashen/desiccated remains of psykers.....seems like a much weaker Psyk-Out. Not severing the connection to the Warp, just lessening it so tortured Psykers like Jurgen to try to find some brief respite from what their "gift" has left them with.

Awesome channel you got going on here 👍I just got into 40k lore, the stuff you put out is great! And since I am fluid in german I like to contribute: "Geist" in its verbatim translation is "ghost" but also "spirit". As in "Zeitgeist" (Zeit=Time) describing the "spirit of an era". Or "Weingeist" (Wein=Wine) as in the "spirit of the wine" describing distilled ethanol. As we use "spirits" in english to describe any clear hard liqer. With that preamble out of the way... I would translate "Geisthaven" as "haven of the spirits" especially given the "grimderp" context it's used in this case. 😉
