Seems there are now a few more parts in the package

They have changed the posts you have to put the sides together now, as I remember years ago mine that I purchased for the kitchen were already put together

Does the narrow version of the Ivar shelf unit, 70" height, require the crossbar? On Ikea's website it does not list the crossbar as a required component for the narrow Ivar unit, which has a 17" width shelf. Do you know? Thanks.

I just purchased and assembled. How much weight can each shelf hold? And do I have to mount to the wall? I have the four tiered shelf, with three sections, and the bamboo doors... can someone help???

how do you know where to put the brace?

do pins come with the shelves?

Eric Bessey Edit: Corrected for grammar. They, four per shelf, came clipped into the plastic on the underside of the IVAR shelves I bought -- I've found them at the bottom of the box when getting them shipped though. theres no hole for that x bar. How do you overcome this?

I don't know what the official instructions are for the IVAR since I don't remember getting any, but what I did was follow the instructions for the Ikea HEJNE/GORM that also used the x bar. A copy of the instructions should be on their website: www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S39031411/
