This is what I hate about HBO. They will cancel a series, and not give it any proper ending.

Profit matters waaaaaay more than anything else. You can hate it but it won’t stop you from watching the next series you’ll get really interested in for them to cancel suddenly. Profit assured.

There were 3 more seasons already written and ready to go. The budget was prohibitive, HBO was bought, and this show was one of the first cut in order to save money. So disappointing. I really wanted to see where the story goes. A lot of fans do.

@@emremokoko Never watched it. It was two years after the series, the Sopranos, ended that I finally watched it. Same thing for the Wire, and Breaking Bad. (But funny you mentioned it, as people have accused me of being zombified.) 😆

But The Walking Dead is just another plot thread after another plot thread, leading to another episode, which later becomes a spin-off series. Even the ending of the series was not really an ending, it was a way to connect to 10 other spin-off series. It's not really for you, I think. 🙃

Wait what!? They didn't check if the plants they were FEEDING the children were radioactive?? 😅

I will never understand why the "superior androids" didn't completely salvage the ship first.... Or at least build a machine that could more thoroughly diagnose whatever the children might have. Also don't get how the androids couldn't see that the children were getting cancer. Big plot whole, but still love the show. Great scifi.

Yeah and eating one radioactive plant or even just meat could never be enough to sustain life. But writers rarely bother with such details, apocalypse survivors eat a can of greenbeans a day and grow a few tomatoes, not the 2000 calories they'd need. You'd have to grow fields of potatoes.

i love how this show makes me think if this was also the case for us back then. did we our ancestors also came from a distant star... was all the miracles mentioned in the holy books were just a super hi tech thing re-told by our earlier ancestors whom only heard the stories from their mothers so they see it as a miracle.

We can't know for sure. First, we don't know if the ancient miracles actually happened. But if they did, chances are it was tech as we've found no evidence of any divine beings, nor that those beings did miracles. It's also possible that panspermia happened and life on our planet was seeded from somewhere else. Saying it was god/s though, stops you investigating further.

​@@ctakitimu yeah, we also found no evidence it was tech, nor anything corroborating. we as humanity can also track our history surprisingly more then people think for hundrerds of thousands years back, and only tech that those hunter gatherer tools, caves, prey bones corresponds to people being hunter gatherers, following the herds, never being sedentary for a big period of time and if so, only as exception to the rule, for example, different tribes having one settled location that they met on yearly to trade, but even those locations get abandoned due to elements or overhunting of local fauna. to simplify, NO. if you people want to learn more about history, read some books and learn history.

its always sad the use of atheism and science in those stories.. " trust in science" mean to belive without testing , and thats the most unscientific approach to anything.

Maybe Amazon will pick it up and finish it off like they did with The Expanse 🤞🙏👍

I'm an atheist, but no, science is not _deductive._ It's _inductive,_ because it can only progress through a process known as falsification. It is never certain. At some point, you must say, "Yeah, good enough," or, "I have faith in this theory." By blindly dismissing its flaws, you open the door to the very self-undermining nature religion possesses. You imagine it perfect, and you pseudo-worship it as salvation. Don't do that.

This show is the most bizarre series I have ever seen. The closer it got to the end of the season the weirder is got. Weird is an understatement. But at the same time, extremely interesting and easy to follow, unlike "lost". The episode just went of the rails into WTF?! territory, no longer trying to make it self appear as a typical sci fi series.

Exactly.

The founders of Rome / the Roman Empire were named Romulus and Remus, it was said they were raised by a she-wolf. This is why you see Father & Mother digging with their paws and howling, as if they're the wolves. The question is, which child will be the new founder of Rome? Another thing is Mithraism was one of the primary religions of ancient Rome and perhaps would've been the main one, had Christianity not become the main religion. So this is a big 'what if Christianity hadn't become the major religion in Europe" type of story. There's also some allusions to the Mithraism religion but I'm not too familiar with it

THANK YOU! I do NOT understand why it got all the praise it did in the comments. I'm a big science fiction fan, and I absolutely hated it. I think Ridley Scott has dementia, and no one has the balls to tell him he needs to stop. Prometheus, Alien Covenant, now this?! He needs to retire, he's already done enough damage to the Alien franchise.

I was initially intrigued by this series but lost interest as the plot meanders endlessly.

I don't need faith to figure the sun will rise tomorrow morning. Whereas ancient Greeks did require faith to believe that the sun was really Apollo and his firey chariot. Faith

This show is ridiculous. These people talk about science as if it is a religion. This falls inline with the modern Marxist/Atheist view of science. Which ironically illustrates a complete lack of understanding in the term science. When people say, "trust in science," they do not understand the scientific method. Hypothesis...Test hypothesis through experimentation...Interpret results....Conclusion, and does it require further testing. Science is not an all inclusive term or thing. Furthermore, if we state "trust in science," what science are we referring to? The scientific method or field (which is really just linguistics)? Science and religion are compatible. One is a method for solving problems, or gaining understanding. While the other is a personal belief. One does not affect the other, unless we want to investigate a topic of religion through the scientific method.

Why didn't the Androids save the mother ship, it contained medical technology as well as other useful things that could've saved the children from dying and save some of the humans as the human race will need all the more people than just a few kids.

This series alongside The OA and The Colony, were discontinued exactly when they were getting much more interesting. They should be more intelligent and make like Stranger Things, just about each 2 years or 18 months. When you deliver a lot, year after year, you just overload the audience with too much things and we even have time to watch all the series. Sometimes we don't watch good series because we don't have time and the the top dogs discontinue them. It's a shame. They should at least launch an anime, or some books, so we could see where the series would go.

Watching poop go down is more interesting than this series.
