In 2025 ISS Astronauts See That on Earth Nuclear War Broke Out

Фильм және анимация

Two astronauts arrive at the ISS, the international team arranges a warm welcome, and now the crew consists of three Russians and three Americans. While the newcomers are settling in, a large-scale war between Russia and the United States suddenly breaks out on Earth - both sides contact their astronauts and order them to take control of the station by any means necessary.

The ISS is within a 'danger zone' where it is skipping off of the top of Earth's atmosphere, steadily being braked into anuncontrolled re-entry. This is corrected IRL by regular 'reboosts' by either the Soyuz or the Cargo Resupply vehicles, pushing the ISS back up before it can burn up in the atmosphere. An on-board reboost module was defunded in the 1990s as unnecessary along with a six-seat life-pod in the event of a failure of both Soyuz spacecraft..

I can't imagine that you sleep well, especially as you have to strap yourself to the bed to avoid floating away. That would annoy me immensely, especially as when I'm lying in bed with my eyes closed, I look for the most comfortable spot on the pillow with my head and the most comfortable positions for my arms. When I have found the most comfortable positions, I become very calm. The last thing I do is turn on my audiobook. I would simply lack the freedom of movement in my arms, and I would also feel very uncomfortable strapped in like that, even if I strapped myself in. I can never sleep like that. I also prefer to sleep in complete darkness, and that's not possible on the ISS because there are always lights or buttons on. I also highly doubt that the cot is comfortable for sleeping. On Earth, I can sleep anywhere, on the floor, on the grass or in the forest, as long as I have a blanket and a pillow. You can always build a soft base outside from moss, long blades of grass and leaves.

Wouldn't all the systems in the ISS also not be fried by all those EMP pulses coming from those nuclear blasts?

Because the ground blasts wouldn't do that. Atmospheric bursts (specifically to cause EMP) could fry the station.

The EMPs that would absolutely 1000% happen would end this story the second they saw the first flash. Everything on the station would fry.

Here's the problem with this whole movie. Unless a cargo vessel docs with the ISS every 6 months and pushes it into a higher orbit, it will fall out of the sky. Period. Full Stop! So, at this point the whole point of watching the movie isn't about them tearing the ship apart or trying to figure out a way to survive. It would be to have the very last set of launches from every space agency around the world send cargo to build a refuge for humanity, or to watch the people on teh ISS slowly die as the space station decends and burns up. There is one other possible scenario .. aliens stop by. Yup! They thought humanity would make it through, but just as they arrive, they get to pop the popcorn, watch the fireworks, debate about saving the last humans, or determine when to return to earth and colonize it. (Wait, that was done already .. I think Nicolas Cage was in that movie!)

That is a different kind of movie. You follow the aircrew of a American bomber and the moral dilemma they face fighting in a accidental limited nuclear war

This movies kinda dumb. I mean if there is a nuclear war that is an absolute travesty with the biggest loss of human life in history. The last thing you are thinking is to fight each other, then everyone dies just like down below

Not epic, but it makes for good dinner conversation. Raises interesting subjects. The nationalizing of hatred for entire peoples. The differences between working people and politicians. For instance, what kind of people perpetuate the nuclear arms race or invest in tools of destruction at the expense of providing basic necessities to the people? Its not me, and I don't think its you. It above us. But what happened to them? At what point did they become demigods?

Just wrapped up watching it literally 30 seconds ago. It’s not worth the watch save your time. I’ll make this short and sweet. All of the characters for the most part are hard to attach to. The movie tries to make them somewhat endearing but they all are too bland or robotic to genuinely feel bad for anyone (maybe besides nika/gordon). Everyone who died I really didn’t care for and the fight sequences were just boring. They lacked stakes which is kind of weird considering their fighting over controlled of the I.S.S. They just were mid compared to Life if anyone’s seen that movie. Now that shit had me screaming 😂 ohhh did I forget to mention that a good 20% of this movies dialogue is in Russian with 0 subtitles? Literally MAJOR plot points are spoken in Russian like the literal CLIMAX/FINALE but ofc I couldn’t understand shit since I speak only English. If u don’t speak Russia good luck enjoying this movie. As I mentioned earlier, many parts of the move lacked stakes and that has a lot to do with the language barrier seeing as you never know what the Russians are planning, thinking, or saying truly 99% of the time. Hell even the Americans speak Russian a fair bit and even then I don’t know what they’re saying 😂😂😂 skip this movie and go watch life. Now THAT will make u yearn for a part 2
