Nice job, I’m a retired Harley mechanic and I’ve always just ran the hose to the ground never liked the idea of a catch can or filter to always clean , the hose is the way to go, thanks for the video

Thanks! I definitely prefer going to the ground.

The only problem you overlooked, respectfully, is that the blow-by, (however minimal), gets on your tire sidewalls. The best way is to run the hose all the way back to the end of the rear fender, whatever it takes! You can use 1/4" steel tubing under the fender. As an owner of several early model FL and Brit bikes it is important to PCV, "WITHOUT THE MESS"!

I appreciate you posting. I'm very meticulous about this stuff. I've done this job on 3 bikes, and never seen any oil on my tires.

What year did you say your SgS was. I bought a 2022 SgS and I am occasionally smelling oil from my right side near the breather. Are they having this problem with the 2022's?

Mine's a 2014. All the bikes vent oil mist into the air intake. Keeping the level at the halfway point on the dipstick helps some, but what you're experiencing is by design. That's why people do the bypass.

@@bluesriderDF so could I conduct the same bypass that you did on my 2022 the same way.

@M J There are slightly different ways to do it depending on what intake you have, but the principle is the same. You can check out this site, they sell various kits for the different bikes. www.dkcustomproducts.com/
