Hey i was experiencing some lagg in 4v4 only since last update. I tried your sensei DE and my benchmark dropped from 1131 to 1005. I think it’s a great idea but unfortunately for me it is not my computer de problem but my connection to the servers. This is to say i checked your old videos and found one to optimize my computer by changing some settings with the mouse, nvidea, resolution and razer cortex. And to fully optimize my laptop i went to 1210 benchmark and still have some server problems. So thank you for your great videos but i have to be patient and wait for the new update

Simple! turn off and uncheck everything. I should have you know that sensei DE make very few changes to the registry of Age of empires 2 DE nonetheless you revert back the old settings of AOE2 DE by launching the game click the cog button top right > Settings > click Reset to default settings or choose the settings you want (low, medium, high, ultra). If you have used the offline mods installer and wish to removed installed mods go to steam, find AOE2 DE then right click it > Properties > Local Files > Verify the integrity of game files. Let me know if you need further help.

ok u gotta add the option for restoring every tweak and every file modification that this program does, goin to graphics options and selecting "restore to default" DOES NOT restore everything. i had to uninstall game and make a clean installation of it for reverting these tweaks, also it fucked up my steam cloud files of the game (even when i disabled it, i followed every step of the tutorial) so yea... please add the option for restoring absolute everything, not only hidden effects

What is the best GPU for AoE2 DE: RTX 3090 Ti or 6950 XT? Reason: building an ultimate gaming PC with a 360 Hz monitor. Thanks for any info.

Both GPUs are more than enough for AoE2 DE although RTX 3090 ranks as second best graphic card for gaming which is better than 6950. The CPU is crucial, as well!!!!! AoE2 DE runs on a single core so you better get a good cpu (at least 8th generation i5 intel) lower generations will hinder your GPU to work at its full potential especially single core games like AoE2 DE that rely on high speed core. Bear in mind that both cards you have suggested consume an insane amount of electricity(expect a huge bill at the end of the month). I'd recommend an energy economical setup: GTX 1650 SUPER with i5 8600k. This setup is more than enough to play AoE2 DE at highest quality and live stream on top of it while consuming lower electricity.

Hi, need help. Maybe it is because of my old PC. I did exactly mentioned in the video and my score dropped significantly. I restored to defaults in-game settings and the score gained to ~870. Earlier it was ~790. So definitely some settings are not restored. Any tips to gain 30 more score so I can play ranked?

@Gregstein Whenever I apply the program to the game, it simply crashes every time I try to choose a civilization, whether it is a single or a multi player game. I would be most grateful if you have any solutions.

hey how can i deinstall the program completely and change everything back to normal? when i delete it it still hold to the changes etc. also when i reinstall it, the programm doesnt work no more. for example i turn on disable intro movies it still shows me the intro and doesnt pixle it no more. fells kinda buggy i just want to set everything to how it was used to be.

Trying to get this to run on Linux. Is there a tutorial on how to execute this with steam proton?

Until i look at the issue please go to your steam library, right click aoe2 de > properties > Local Files> Verify the integrity of game files. That should fix

Great question! I forgot to address this in the video. Some mods do not overwrite big chunks of files such as (SFX.bnk) they add .wem files individually in your game installation (especially sound mods). All you have to do is locate where the mod folder is installed in (%userprofile%\Games\Age of Empires 2 DE\RANDOM NUMBERS\mods\subscribed\Your mod name) then remember the location and names of each file. Now go to your aoe2 installation folder follow the same location of \Your mod name\ and remove those files. Done! Check file integrity again just to be sure you didn't delete something important. If you find all this confusing just tell me the names of the mods and I will tell you exactly what to delete from your game.

How can I restore my previous configuration? made it lose a lot of graphics quality

Run AoE2 DE > Options > Graphics tab: there is a button in the bottom of the window "Reset to default". Done!

Hi, I can't delete an offline sound mod (the aoe 1 army sound) :C I tried the files verification option of Steam, and all other mods has gone but not that one. Help plz 11

I need some help here! I used the software but I was not happy that it had shrunk things too much (too much zoom). I tried setting things back to normal but I couldn't. I reinstalled the game and nothing. All the graphic settings came back to normal but I cannot fix the zoom :(

Is your antivirus blocking Sensei DE from making changes to registry? Eitherway you can manually change zoom in the game options > Graphics > Under resolution select to change default zoom to 50% as default value or lower.

Que tal. Lo hice y después me di cuenta q no me había fijado cuanto tenía en el benchmark para ver cuantoejoraba. Verifique la integridad de los archivos, me daba normal 970 y después de hacerlo me seguía dando 970. Así q no se si mejoró o no. Pero estoy ahí no mas del 1000, ya no se que hacer.

Low pack textures will not improve performance at all. Because they are just slp files in lower file size. The best way to is to shrink resolution since it's the only one responsible to lower the texture of the game not mods. Also lowering your desktop resolution helps a lot too. I'm not sure if you read my blog post where i related my experience with low fps in aoe2de. My performance tripled after i switched from HDD drive to SSD drive. Yes you heard that right! it tripled thanks to the SSD drive only. 120 GB SSD is million years better than 2 TB HDD in terms of performance and workflow. Also installing the latest windows 10 seem to bring about more performance gains.

Bro , I need you help here after managing to access the "windowsapp" folder ,I tried to locate the AOE2De.exe file , but won't appear on your program eventhough it actually exists. Any fix?

Hello friend, Sorry for the late response. You could run AoE2 DE through MS Store then open Task manager on the “Details” Tab find AoE2 DE exe then right click it > Locate file and that should send you directly into the correct location of the exe. If you can’t see the exe file after attempting to locating it I recommend you to use these registry hacks through cmd (run as admin) superuser.com/questions/1151844/how-to-toggle-show-hide-hidden-files-in-windows-through-command-line

Uncheck Run as administrator. Then try, if still can't run I recommend to right click AoE2 DE in your steam library then > Properties > Local Files Tab > Verify Integrity of Files. I have not yet updated the Sensei DE to work with the latest version of the game. Tomorrow, I will.

It's the "Disable Menu Effects". Please don't use it. Now first and foremost. Turn off "Game Menu Effects" then close the tool and verify the integrity of game files through steam. Finally, try again Sensei DE without apply "Disable Menu Effects" I am currently working on an update to Sensei DE to fix the problem so thank you for reporting
