    Love the video clips where the phrase is used in popular TV shows! We can't think of a TV show that doesn't use the phrase 🤔 because it is so common. "Show up" and "make it to" are daily English phrases and native speakers say to each other A LOT. Thanks for another great lesson, Kevin!

    Thing is in AE the verb turn up is not used much (if at all) in the same context. To me turn up would work if I want to increase the volume of a sound or make something hotter. I can also say crank up by the way.
