We know that customers are constantly looking for ways to make their database workloads more efficient in terms of performance and cost. With AWS Graviton2 processors customers can achieve up to 52% better price-performance on Amazon Relational Database (RDS) and up to 35% better price-performance on Amazon Aurora workloads depending on the database size. In this tech talk, we will provide an introduction to our Graviton2 instances and available instance types. We will detail the advantages of upgrading your instances to Graviton2 on Amazon RDS and Aurora, including leveraging 7x the performance, 4x the number of compute cores, 2x larger private caches per core, 5x faster memory, and 2x faster floating-point performance per core. We will also discuss use cases where Amazon RDS Graviton2 instances and Amazon Aurora Graviton2 instances are the best choice for your workload.
