Impromptu Design session with LEGEND Michael Glassman! 🌱😱🌸
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Michael Glassman is an absolute design legend with a career that spans across print, tv and so much more. We snuck away at the Dig Plant Water Repeat event and did as we designers do… Dream and scheme! Come eavesdrop on our conversation and share in my admiration of this icon who I am humbled to call my friend.
Wishing you all a beautiful day in the garden,

You can never go wrong with Michael Glassman. I love his energy, and your energy together was great! So many ideas! (A safe cobblestone, of course, for the bride's heels.) I'm so looking forward to hearing what comes of your ideas! As you stated so eloquently, you would be building on the great foundation that is already there, making it better, and incorporating Rafael's memories. ❤❤

Such a treat to watch the two of you bounce ideas! I can relate to what Michael said about everyone one wanting new back in the day, I grew up in that era. I’m just a small time Gardner but saw that right away. Sooooo it can be embellished! Oh thank you. I feel really humbled to be considered in his company.
This was SOOO much fun to listen to! Gosh, I learned so much! Felt like a fly on the wall haha! About making lawns intentional …. My old house was a suburban lot in the Bay Area and had a 20’ x40’ lawn out front. It got used by my kids to play occasionally but most of the time was just there, empty. Redid the front yard to be more water wise and reduced the lawn area to a 13’ diameter circle with a small fence on two sides and a bench. Suddenly that small patch of lawn got used all the time! It became a wrestling mat, or a tumbling spot or the bench became a “stage” and the lawn space for the “audience”. Adults gravitated to it for conversations and teenagers hung out on it. The use was so heavy it compacted the ground and I had to repair the damage but … that’s OK. That little circle of lawn became “ intentional” space and definitely enhanced our outdoor living! Less CAN be more!
@HelloGarden

Oh you created a sense of place… I LOVE that. 😍 I often feel lost in wide open spaces. By shrinking the lawn you literally brought people together. So well done! 💞
